Guy....

 

I bought a twin chip ECU about a year ago from a member on here it's got a JWT chip and a C2O chip........ it's been sitting in my garage and with the car off the road thought i'd take the time to fit it....

 

So today i went and lifted the board and took out the ECU, to my surprise the ECU i have removed has IMPUL all over it...

 

Now i fitted the JWT chip and it all starts fine.... sounded alot beefier as well, but...well i am unsure as to which is best for the car.....

 

it's pretty standard apart from A zorst some boost jets and an induction kit... as far as i'm aware there are not engine mod's.....

 

And whats the other ECU worth? as it'll be no use to me once the other is on the car....so will pass it on to some else :D

Do you have an Conzult ?.

 

If so download the Bin file form each of the chips as I'm sure this will be of much more use to the chip mapping guys.

 

Personally I don't have a clue about the chip maps myself, I've looked at my map but don't really know what I'm looking at LOL.

IMPUL is I think, a semi-official nissan tuning company. Haven't seen their maps so can't really comment on them. I'd guess it'll be a better tune than the JWT though.

How does the switching work, is there a little toggle switch hanging out on a grey wire about 20cm long ? If so I probably made it. Presume C20 would be Central20 ?

Ok so it one of your chips.... great dont suppose you know anything about the C20 and the JWT chip in the ECU???

Not really, presume C20 would be more aggressive than the JWT and will probably expect Jap fuel. It's possible to compare the two maps given appropriate software, don't have all the stuff with me now though.

You would probably be better off with the JWT, but try them and see. I would have written those maps on request, I would not normally recommend the C20 because I view it as largely an unknown quantity. Also, I'm not in the habit or copying JWT chips, so that would probably have been provided to me.

I also THINK that the C20 is an auto, presume the JWT would match that.

yes an auto ECU un sure as to weather it would suit the car are not... i dont really want to put it on and find out it'll wreck the engine or something, or make it run like a bucket of bolts...
