I'm thinking about putting my car on ebay with a starting price of £100 but a reserve of £8.5k.

How much it is going to cost me to advertise this with a reserve for a 7 day auction ?

I very much doubt it will meet the reserve, but I'm very interested to see what Joe public thinks it's worth.

Maybe we should have a sweep stake before I do it.

On a 7 day auction...

I recon it will get to £4,800

I don't intend to sell it on ebay if I'm honest I was just curious as to what the non enthusiast would pay for it.

I have someone coming round later this week from the Pistonheads add.

We had a long discussion and he's not a tyre kicker and doesn't want to waste his time, so we agreed on a price over the phone. We'll see what happened towards the end of the week.

So there is no way to change the item description once bidding has started ?.

I'm sure people know what I meant. I mean some of the descriptions you see on E-bay are just laughable compared to mine :)

Hi Stu,

If you want I'll ask you a few questions about the being standard bit etc.. and you can answer that it was a typo. If somebody is interested they will read the questions and answers.

Regards,

C

Thats now done, but after reading the advert there is no way that anybody would have thought that it was a standard car. Everytime I see the car and the spec, I really drool. Only small cosmetic changes I'd make if it was mine. If I had seen it when I was looking for my SWB, I would have had a go at wrangling a deal with you.

Best of luck with the sale though. Yours is definitely a car that deserves to make a good price.

Colm

the auction on ebay seems to be going well for you smw1. good luck and i hope you get alot for it as it is a truely amazing car.

Good to see it on ebay, get a market price. You know you can sell for whats bid. if you want more, stick it out, you'll need find someone that's prepared to pay over the odds for an unusual car and a modified unnsual car, good luck!
