lights on this car seems loads more efficient than my other it's a series 2 vs a series 1 if that makes a difference but this one actually lights the road up pretty well. How can I tell if they are HID's ?:bow:

you will be able to see. and depending on the type fitted will be a brilliant wight light/blue/purple, not candle light like normal bulbs.

lol

also there should be ballast packs for each bulb situated aprox 1 foot away from them either under the nose panel or engine bay.

Also when you switch them on for the first time they take a few secs to get brighter

You should be able to hear the ballasts when the engine is off.

Thats news to me, and this is my third car with them

will have a try tomorrow I can actually see them on the road with this car though. My white z's lights seemed to run on AAA batteries and a 1.5v tourch bulb

They will also be alot clearer and have silver boxes (or other colour) which then plug into the lightblub
