I just popped outside and quickly measured a stock zed wheel -

245/45/16 and it came out at just over 10cm on my crappy kids 15cm ruler.

I haven't got my Zed here at the moment, but I've just been out and measured one of the tyres on my mini (it's not that I don't trust you Legrath;)). The tyres are 165/60/12. The tyre wall measured around 75mm (using a crappy 15cm ruler!) from the outer edge of the rim to the largest circumference of the tyre (ie the very outer edge, not just where it starts to curve away). According to 60% of 165 it should have been 99mm. How's that then?! Should the measurement include the lip of the tyre behind the wheel rim?

May need to include the lip and/or curvature of the tyre..etc . Im not sure.

Its not something I made up though lol, its just basic tyre terminology

btw 235/45/17 is the wrong tyre profile for a Zed, it should be 235/40/17

Thats coz the speedo would normally be wrong if you had the right tyres but you've fixed it by fitting wrong tyres
