10k's a lot of money bud, specially for a grey estate car :D

You going for a different look altogether there.

Performance counts a lot but its not everything.

the performance of the s4 i was in a few months back was vry quick, nearly as quick as the zed and it only had a chip, 310bhp

i was looking at replacing the scooby with an s4 but just couldnt warrant paying the money they were going for... although very reliable and solid cars they are getting to the age now where they will start to need some financial pampering!..

though iv ended up with a passat v5 so i gave in to wanting a car to make the dogs hurl! still get itchy fingers about the rs6 but again... its just a pimped up version of what iv got at 5+ times the price...

decisions decisions!

is this to replace the zed?

I'd rather have the saloon over the Estate. S6 Estate yes, but the MK2 A4 Estate looks soooooo bland.

I think if I was looking for a fast saloon/coupe around the £10k mark, it would probably be the Mercedes CL-coupe (which is still a bit more, but hold out about 6 months!). This and the BMW 8 series (Very very late versions) are probably the only cars around that price bracket that I'd give the Z up for.

These have such awsome road presence in person. Quite rare, but very stylish and slick.

If you can save your cash a bit £15k, try and get either the CL55 (V8 supercharged) or the CL65, (Twin Turbo V12). These are really starting to come down in price now. The CL500 and 600 are NA powered V8 and V12 respectively, £11k - £12k for the CL500.

This is one of the prettiest cars Mercedes have made IMO and is a little more interesting than Audi saloon cars.

im only planning on spending £7500-£8000 at the most, the audi S4 seems to tick most of the boxes bar 1-the wow factor

thats why i keep changing my mind, ive had enough of the zed, but i know i will miss its road presence, my options are an ML55 AMG (with big alloys lol), skyline r33 gtr, audi S4 (as stated) R32 golf, audi S3

I don't think there's anything up to about the £15k mark that interests me other than the 8 series and CL. You'd have to shoot up to £20k - £30k for an NSX or 355 to really make me go 'now that's worth selling the Z for'.

S4, great car though.

If you're looking at S4s and Evos then it is! LOL

I like the 93 cabrios, but for a cabrio, a 3-series or CLK cabrio are much nicer.

i want the s4 b5, its a 98-2001 model and packs a 2.7 bi turbo v6 engine which is very tuneable

would love a white evo7 gsr but the insurance is just ridiculous, they want nearly 2k for third party, if i could afford one and insure then all other options would be out of the window bar none

Dont do it! you will only regret it!

You will miss the looks you used to get when in the zed, something i couldnt imagine ever having in a s4.Also how many random people would stop you to ask you about your

s4?....Great cars and everything but doesnt measure up to the z32 imo!

It's a still taken from the film 'The Never Ending Story'. lol ;)

oh i see, never ending as in i never stop going on lol

Just meant Makes me feel old as i remember watching all of em':( (sad i know)
