In my old uk spec zed the seat position always seemed to be lower than my jspec :wack:  always had plenty of head room and could easily see the dash through the steering wheel... in the jspec my head seems v close and the steering wheel seems too low!

is this just because the foam was flattened by some bloater who had eaten too many subway meatball marinaras or are our western friends seat mounts boosted up slightly to help with height issues!? 'the ergonomics of culture'

My word! You maintain planes as well.....that's it, we're all doomed. Next time I see Skydrol pissing out of the wings, I'll know that 'Joel Pickering fixed that'. ;)

I cant believe you lot have only just discovered the seat height adjustment! I thought I was the newbie compared to you lot!

what a/c type?

Can't remember, but Eaton use it when testing and so do Aerotek Aviation on their test rigs. It's an appoved product through BAE and EADS/Airbus.

omg, u guys are kidding right ?!?!

All the Electric drivers seats (Jap and UK) are 8 way electric adjustment. Both switches go up, down, left, right. You can adjust seat height and seat tilt(which also helps with the height).

fair do's... the new airbus's seem to be coming through with hi-jet V and not listing skydrol as an alternative... though if you saw a plane pissing any kind of hydraulic fluid, stuff wondering whether i fixed it or not... get out of the way LOL

LOL!

I actually saw my first 'airborne' A380 yesterday afternoon as I drove past Heathrow. They look so much bigger when coming in to land than anything else I've seen in a long while. Very impressive sight.

omg its like having trainers that were always to small and now suddenly fit (still cant see my dials properly tho!) altho its a hell of alot better, what does the other switch do? it feels like its trying to do something i (now) have 3 way adjustment, should it be 4?

4, both sticks should go forward, back, left, right

LOL i never knew this either! damit, ive sold my car want to buy another one just to try this function!

The what??? Ahaha im kidding, i knew it because as i was driving the car home when i first got it, and it started to rain and i was playing with the buttons!!

FFS only just read this thread all the way thru - i too did'nt know the seat was height adjustable! :wack:

I did know about the wiper control tho :p

just read this and all i can say is :slap:

YOU LOT HAVE TO SPEND MORE TIME IN THE Z AND PLAY WITH YOUR KNOBS AND TWIDDLE YOUR DIALS THERES LOADS TO FIND!!!

Jesus H Christ, if i hadn't found the height adjustment on the zed within 2 mins of going for a test drive in one I would have never bought one and assumed I didn't fit. All the way up at the front, all the way down at the back.

Talk about a load of noobs, and you call yourself zed owners?
