Spoke earlier to my mechanic, and he agrees with me that I would be better modding the 200SX and leave the 300ZX as stock for now. He is a sensible guy as he strongly recommends I get he suspension and brakes uprated first.

 

He has loads of experience modding 200SX's, and says I could easily take it from ~170BHP to ~250BHP. Happy days !!

 

Maybe I should start visiting a 200SX forum as well !!

I count Warren as a friend, and has helped me out numerous Occasions. But where as you Nelson come across on this forum as bit of a dumbarse, you have some small knowledge about cars, and your posts come across claiming to be an expert, but when challenged about ur statements you cannot back them up. A modded 200sx car against a modded 300zx car, the 200 will never beat it 0-60 or top speed period, torque wins races!!!

Soz Stu, that's crap.

I got Zed brakes on my 1250Kg S13 (with std wheels) and they perform pretty well with decent discs and pads.

 

I say mod the Zed, so you stay contained to this board.

 

Cheaper and easier to mod the S13 up to a respectable level, I'm looking forward to killing a few zeds myself soon at the pod.

 

Only prob is the zed in comparitively VERY expensive to mod, far more complicated to work on, and damn expensive to fix when it buggers up.

 

But a well modded Zed will be faster than an S13. 400bhp is really about the limit, (without going silly) on an S13.

300bhp is pretty easily/cheaply obtainable.

 

 

 

Well I like Warren and Duff, we all had a really good laugh and got on like a house on fire at Billing.

 

Both Rob and I have met Warren at other meets, and we have never found him to be a coward. He seems willing to help anyone at anytime.

 

He always seems to have the correct information, and thats why I call him Professor Plum.

 

But I do not like being accussed of things that I am not doing by some loud mouthed reteard who is as thick as Sh*t. And I am sure that Warrens wife would like to meet Captain Caveman personally too.

I've seen some top fuel dragsters doing 280 mph and reaching 100 mph in around a second. That's pretty optimal in my book. I'll grant you that handling may be slightly entertaining.

 

But then you've got all manner of 'normal' race cars which optimise all areas of performance. I know you've said you're discounting F1. But it's not difficult to win an argument about anything if you're going to ignore any reality which contradicts your theory.

If this forum is reduced to no humour and no questions, then what is there left to talk about? Hands up who likes the "I polished my car today" threads? No not everyone likes them - I don't see the point but that is why I ignore them and don't read them. The topics need to be a balance if this place is to carry on worth being a part of. I love the humour side, some don't. Couldn't care less about what other peoples cars look like to be honest, but thats just me. Technical, there'd be a hell of a lot of dead zeds now if it wasn't for that. One point to remember though is that we are here because we have a common interest - that does NOT mean we only have to talk zeds. Oh FFS duff loose the maturity quick. I hate having to agree with you twice in two days, its driving up the wall. A silly question asked by someone is only silly to those who actually know the answer. Many who are new to 300 ownership probably would like to have the guts to ask those questions themselves but don't want to take the abuse that gets thrown around. As duff says even silly questions can turn up some good stuff that wouldn't get aired otherwise. I need a wash to remove this "agreeing with duff dirt and smell!" Maybe getting God to kill a kitten or two will help me feel better.
