Right! Petrol cap flap thingy? Does it use a cable when you press on lever to flip it open? If it does how do I adjust it? mine takes ages to get it open and I need to rest something heavy on lever and flip it open by hand. :)

I had this problem, fixed it today actually! If you oped the petrol flap, on the hinging side, on the body, there is a little piece of metal that acts as a spring to pop open the flap, pull it out, if it looks ok, then stick it back in but not too far, that should give you enough 'springiness' to pop ya flap open, worked for me! HTH matey....

Top man!! :) Will give that a go in the morn! Cheers bud!

It uses the same cable that does the boot release, it has a bracket/lever mechanism just behind the rear wheel arch in the boot. When you pull obviously opens the rear hatch and push down it releases the pin which holds the flap closed. As tudor suggested, there is a small sprung metal arm which pushes the flap door open when released, bend it out a little to create more tension.

Sounds stupid but make sure you lift up your Floor mats when pressing the lever as it needs to go all the way down! :D or what has previously been said

when you pull the lever to open the hatch should it return to horizontal position, i have to push mine back or else the hatch won't close?

You may be missing the return spring or needs lubricating

Forgot about this one! I have bent the spring thing but makes no difference it looks like its the white catch at the front it doesent sit all the way back when lever is pressed down.

Check that the big piece of wire that the flap is hinged on is firmly in place at both top and bottom os the flap.... that happened to mine.

It's easy enough to move it about with the end of a flat screwdriver and get it alighjned properly
