In light of the apparent death of the new build construction industry and my subsequent loss of business, I have started the depressing process of applying for jobs.

As many of you know, and some have witnessed, I am a keen valeter/detailer so this is the avenue I'm going to pursue first. I have today made two applications for quite desirable jobs in this field - so please keep your fingers crossed for me!!

With positive vibes from all my forum buddies (on here and elsewhere) I might just get the result I need :D

Best of luck buddy and i'll be throwing some work your way when I finally get the V8 back to the new house, I need everything cleaning and valeting ready for the shows this year and I know you'll make a corking job on a gunmetal grey car :D

Thats ver impressuve mate, good to see someone who takes pride in there work. best of luck

Good luck mate, i've often thought about starting my own

valeting buisness too, thing is, i'd spend so long on each car, i'd never

make any money, or i'd have to charge ridiculous amounts of money just

to cover my time.

Most people are happy letting the goons in tesco carpark wash their car

with a gritty rag while they're shopping. I mopped a shogun a while back

for a guy who's mrs was letting the tesco guys wash theirs, it was truly

appauling to say the least.

That's what keeps the good guys busy ;)

Got a standard reply 'Thanks, but no thanks' on both counts.

Boo.

And indeed, hiss.

Ah well, I'll just keep plugging away :)

Peach: How much would you charge to correct the paint on my car and give it a full valet in March when it is back on the road?

^^ I'm just trying to secure a full time job at the moment, but when I do I will be trading my huge van for a smaller one and setting it up for mobile valeting. As soon as I do, you will know ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Do you have an email I could mail my mobile number to so you could give me a call once you are on your feet?

Good luck and if all else fails you can always become a Giggalo. :hurl:
