I've just had my engine out over xmas and fitted new turbos as passenger side was blown. Anyway, i've got it all back in now and running fine, but when i had the car on idle while i was sorting a few little bits out the temp started to creep above midway where it would normally sit. I tried putting the heating on inside aswell and its freezing cold!

Is it just something simple like an airlock and just needs bleeding or could it be something more?

Im hoping its simple as it was always fine before i pulled the engine!

any help appreciated, thanks

erm, i don't know tbh. I know theres a bleed on the rad which i've tried, but don't remember seeing one anywhere else though. I'll have to go have a look and tinker i think.

cheers

you may have to let the engine heat up with the cap off and when the water level drops top it up accordingly, something to do with the thermostat opening up

yeah i got it sorted now. Thought it had warmed up enough for the thermostat to open but oviously not.

cheers for the help.
