heya, my zed turbo has this strange feeling of a lack of power when cruising with the foot just holding the throttle. it seems to happen only if im not accelerating...just rolling along- for instance in 3rd gear at 30 it will feel hesitant and then when i put my foot down its fine, also noticed yeaterday its now doing the same thing but clearly missfiring at the same time until you put your foot down and then its fine?? anybody have any ideas, im new to zeds and this car is starting to put me off them already.

Very strange i am getting this now as well, but i think my ecu is on its way out, ill get back to this thread once i get the other ecu in

mine does this but its an auto, if i take foot off and just coast its like blub blub ok again blub blub as soon as i touch throttle by the slightest its smooth as anything. When im stationary and its idling its fine also no lumpy tickover or anything. Quite baffling.

How weird that is 3 of us with this problem...

Mine does this since the cold weather started .

Same!!!

and mine,

Except i also have an idle missfire and heavy top end missfire too

but both the zeds ive owed have had this burble missfire thingy, its odd but i doubt anything to worry about

Could it be the fuel ,they might of cut back on some additive

I've ran on BP 95 bp super and tesco 99 still the same, I would think its the fuel map of some sort as it seems to be over fueling when off throttle but moving. Stationary fine, part/full throttle fine.

mine is doing this too... whilst cruising if you just feather the throttle it missfire's quite bad but accelerate or let of completely and it is fine and smooth......it bugging me now....:(

had similar a while ago and was my Ignition Timing! Somehow i had fried my ecu (burn marks visiable even on tbe outer casing) so few connections had fused and scrambled the igntion timing!

Conzult will show if its out or not! Could be something else though

Mine is doing the same sort of thing, just used nearly a full tank of Shell V power (or what ever it is called).... :wack:

And only while I am ready for the fuel light to come on is it just not right and seems to be revving a little higher for about 10 secs

Most likely your O2 sensors are knackered. While in closed loop (steady throttle) they are used and are causing your problems whereas on full throttle O2 sensor readings are ignored

Get ConZult on it. It'll show you which o2 sensors are out.

sorry for being thick but who is conzult? :)

how do i check them? and are they expensive?

search, everything has been covered before. Now that you know what you're looking for it should be easy.

PS Conzult is diagnostic software

thanks.

I am having a similar problem but only when the car is at running temperatur, when i put my boot down it dose not want to know, 0-60 is taking 8.5s this aint right, on tick over its fine and running around town fine, but when i put my foot down all i can smell is petrol and the car wont pull. anyone got any ideas

could be the Fuel Pressure Regulator or fuel dampner are leaking under load esp if you smell petrol...they are common source of leaks under the hood...do a search and you'll see what and where they are

Firstly I would make sure that all your electrical connections are in good condition, (not corroded or dirty) PTU, CAS, TPS, Plug connections, injector connections, water temperature sensor, fuel temp sensor etc., and if the problem still persists then you need to start looking for other causes such as vacuum pipe leaks, boost leaks, air filter collapsing through damp, fuel filter requiring changing. If you still have a problem after going through the above, then I would recommend a Conzult hook up to try and identify the fault area. It's never easy when trouble comes on these motors but hey, when they are going well......what a smiley.
