now I know why my zed has been laid up for a year - I forgotten how stressful working on them are.

Removing the drivers side dipped beam light and there is a metal spring that clips it in place. the catch it locks behind (part of the headlamp unit) snapped so now I cant fix my HID back in place!!! :(

I have tried a *small* touch of silicone sealant around the edge of the fixing to see if that will hold it in place - I will now in 24 hours.

Im just hoping sealant wont be a prob with temp of HID and that it holds - otherwise I guess its a new headlamp assembly and a bumper off job!!! :(

the clip bit is still there - its the bit it hooks onto to lock bulb in place that snapped.

dont think so :(

You need to have the hands of a small japanese boy to sort of get anywhere near, let alone try and fabricate something.

Ill see if this holds, if not I'll cry.....

that'll be something I spose - Cheers Vinz.

Im hoping this evening that the sealant will have *held* it.

Might be time to get som eproper inserts in lights and not the bacolite mod :)

my light did exactly the same thing mate. I looked around on ebay for people breaking z's and found someone whos car had been in a front end smash, luckily (for me) the lights were broken anyway and they unscrewed the whole bulb mount and sent it to me for free.

Might be worth you trying the same?
