Exhaust Control Valves

I was recently sent to work on another power station and was quickly told about a 500bhp supra, owned by the guy i was going to be working for.

He told me he was having alot of hassle from the police because of the noise from his exhausts so he had an Exhaust Control Valve fitted.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever ventured into fitting a twin set-up into a zed?

These are the fella's i was looking at.

Just get a set of adjustable cherry bombs! LOL

I think the person to speak to regarding this type of thing may be John Dixon.

I'm glad you posted these up, with the V8 project especially as it's on a swb i'm going to need to be able to quieten all 6.3 litres of chevy muscle otherwise i may go deaf lol

I was going to put a side exit on both using a valve to open and close them but what you've posted here i assume you can adjust the volume using the valve rather than switch on and off the pipes which may work better?

i was speaking to a guy last night who has one in his TT chaser.

Im sure he said that his one could be adjusted to sit at different positions i.e. so it isnt either fully open or fully shut

lol i have one of those on my black Z. It bloody works fantastic as well!

I need to rig up some kind of control lever/knob to actuate it though.

untill it gets stuck closed and your car wont start

They're spring loaded open. Exactly the opposite way to throttle body butterflies.
