all the running issues (im told) are related to the fact there are hundreds of little (and some large) holes in my exaust... the back box is apparently fine but as i dont know the underside of the zx i dont know what i need to get, iv been told ill need headers too as there both split, so how much will it cost and where from? stainless or not? im looking for credit crunch prices here!! lol! its a j reg z32 NA manual

right iv been stood under my car for the past hour in a hole in the freeeezing cold!! my mate dropped both sides to have a look the manifolds are actually in good nick no crap on them its where they meet the downpipes that is soooooooo f**ked its amaizing! tried to put them back up and the ns cat pipe has sheered of its cuplet so i cant drive it now!! yey!!!!ffs!! :( and the otherside has holes where it meets then the bit where it meets the mid box thing has loads of patches welded on and are leaking thru the rust (ffs) the mid box itself has a massive patch right in the middle bit (again leaking - can actually see fur sticking out the front and back) and the back box is apparently stainless steel! and is in perfect condition (looks minging to me!!!

iv been advised to buy a pair of cat bypass pipes and a set of mid pipes (or mid box)

so gaz thanks for your very kind offer but apparently i dont need them, dave if the pipes are boxless or not i think ill be having them and i think that means all id need was the cat bypass pipes? which is where thease come into play -

im ready with paypal now - is it a standard box or like in gaz's pic?

Standard, normal mid section similiar to pic- but of course not expensive aftermarket stainless as pictured or it would be on mine! ;)

This section is pretty boringly standard, but if it puts your mind at rest I'll try and put a pic up later..

nice one for the pics, ill be cleaning it all up n using new bolts and gaskets anyway cheers dave!!

Its absolutely solid and its only surface rust which youll get on any steel one - looks worse because of lighting.
