if it's just temporary, get the copper variant: ZFR7F-11

for high power/boost applications I'd recommend copper plugs anyway.

You will have to change them every 5000 kms, but the copper plugs are cheaper and safer then iridium/platinum variants.

The tip of iridium/platinum plugs can break up under extreme conditions (eg. detonation/high EGT's): tip falls into the combustion chamber and ruins bore/valves/engine.

The tip of copper plugs will melt under these conditions, so in a manner of speaking it will act as a fuse and give you some sort of protection against these conditions.

Also, as far as I know, there are no iridium plug variants made for the Z32, so you will end up with a plug that has the incorrect length.

I use those on both my Zeds without any problems!

Also for the price of them if you ever suspect a problem you can throw the whole lot away and buy some fresh ones.

I have pondered over the ZRF7F-11, I presume they are colder than the PFR6B-11B, how do they compare in length Eric?

Greg Dupree are now selling the colder irridiums, are they still only suitable with ported and polished heads with plug shroud removed?

The ngk book lists pfr6b-11c 1990 onwards for v30dett but there is no mention on imports, however adl blueprint recommend the pfr6b-11 and also no mention on imports and they specialise in import parts etc?

NGK are the people to trust on this, it sounds like blueprint are copying an error (which nissan acknowledged) in the Nissan service manual.

I think you are rite there as solid auto also list the pfr6b-11c and also they dont list import z32's which i think is a bit odd as they do recognise other imports same as blueprint but not an impot z32?

They're the exact same length Mark.

So are ngk PFR6B-11's, not avalible from any motor factor surely they can get them if you give them the code.:)

That plug is not distributed by NGK in the UK, so would be import only. You'd be hard pressed to find an Autofactor that would be able to source them.

I bought a NGK PFR6B-11 this morning from Macclesfield AutoFactor so yes they are available, as i said before they also fit the ford and subaru. and its definately the same plug.

The ones that you cannot get of the shelf are the PFR6B-11B plugs (TT Colder type)

These are the ones that we're discussing and the ones you should be using. No one is saying the others can't be bought here though. Just the 11Bs.

I meant pfr6b 11c ive seen people call the 11b the colder one but i thought that was the last number after the pfr bit .So the 11bs are longer yes .Are pfr6b 11c avalible from any motor factors then this plug threads giving me a headache now.:)

I will check price and availability in work tomorow on all the plugs mentioned as I work for a motor factor and report back, I can order plugs direct from NGk aswell.

They're the exact same length Mark.

The same length as which plug and is the shroud cover the same?
