Stereotypes that 300zx owners face? I can imagine that many must associate Z owners with the boy racer crowds. Although it seems that the majority of the members of this forum seem to be well over the boy racer age group (no offence!). If there is a common conception that Z owners are boy racers, then does this make life harder when it comes to dealings with the fuzz?

 

I know that generally the police don't cut any slack for boy racers, but how do the police handle situations when it comes to Z owners? When I had the 330, I never had any trouble with police and never got stopped at any time during my ownership of that car. However, in my opinion the Z looks a bit more conspicuous then a 330. With that in mind, do many of you get stopped at all? By that I mean, just a random stop and search, routine check, etc etc.

i dont think the Z can be classed as a boy racer car at all - hence not appearing in any of the fast & furious films (good thing?) - its definately an enthusiasts car due to the age, maintenance and running costs, although i can see how the low purchase price appeals to those that want a quick 3.0TT thrill.

 

i'll have owned mine for 6 years next April and not been pulled over once, yet.
