Further to the thread regarding the above, and the fact that normal hose clips are not man enough for hard pipe silicon fitments. Here is a link for a company that will do stainless steel (316 the best) tee bolt clamps in various sizes.

Hope this helps those who need them (myself included)

The olny problem with T-bolts is the limited range of the bolt itself.

For instance I would require some 63mm's and some 52mm's

About three months ago I bought "Jubilee Superclamp Hose Clip 20mm band 60-63mm diameter" and "Jubilee Superclamp Hose Clip 20mm band 52-55mm diameter".

I couldn't get any of them to fit right. I couldn't get the 60-63mm onto my silicone in the first place. And with the 52-55mm I could get these on but they wouldn't tighten enough.

If I bought 64-67 then I would get them on but not tighten enough.

If I bought 48-51mm then I wouldn't be able to get them on.

The idea range we would need for our aftermarket SS with silicone pipes is something like 60-65 and 48-53 but for the life of me. I've looked everyhere and can't find them, so the only other options we have for these sort of clips are the C clips which do have the range or the old jubalie clips.

whats wrong with a decent jubilee clip? isnt a t bolt clamp a bit overkill?

Jubilee clips are o.k untill you need to really tighten something like hard pipes and radiator pipes as they start to slip when tightening :nono:. Paying just a few quid more gives you piece of mind that your not going to lose boost or even worse water.

Has any body else got web sites that they get bolts, electrical connectors etc,etc from. Surely there are better places than Halfrauds :)

Have you bought these and tried them ?.

You're gonna have the same problem as me if you do.

ive allways found by buying a good quality s/s jubilee and using a small socket instead of a screwdriver it nips them up perfect...ive also tried the bolt clamps on boost pipes and they went that tight they atually cut into the pipe which is not ideal:( With respect to any water pipes i think nissan got it spot on with them double wire type clips with a 10mm head on them as nothing can get past a new original type wire clip imho:)

Unfortunately Stuart (SMW1) is right when he says the range of the clamps are not suitable for Zed applications (like radiator and intake hoses). They just don't have enough of a range because aside from the external diameter of the silicone coupler you also need to consider that it will "squash" slightly when the band is tightened.

I have had samples of both the Mikalor W2/W4 T-bolt clamps and various others from about 6 different UK-based companies and none of them fitted properly. I am currently on the trail of a EU-based company who claims to have the correct range. With a bit of luck I'll have a full sample set here before Christmas. If that works out then I should be able to offer all the T-Bolt clamps you could ever wish for in the New Year.

Dan

as brian said... if you get a good quality jubilee clips with a big foot print your still gonna get way more torque on a silicon hose than you need..

iv always used www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu for anything electrical... good prices and very fast service.

Just get the proper deal until danny has them available,http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=1966&Car_Type=300&UID=

If your like me and constantly doing and undoing them the stock ones or non t bolt ones are just crap. I remmeber i was getting a boost leak from one hard pipe coz they just were not tight enough and that was at idle imagin at full boost how much is escaping. They also kept loosing their thread and i had to keep replacing them.

Decent Jubilees in stainless have always worked for me.

I was pretty much the 1st to have a non HKS hard pipe kit here about 9 years ago and the clips are still in great shape :smash:

Hi Smithy

The problem i have is the boost slipping the jubilee clip on one of your hardpipes, then it gives me a stall untill i can get it tightend back up again. What sizes do we need for your hard pipe silicones. (my car is in birminghanm so i cant measure them at the moment)

Jimmy hows the concept ones fit ok?

Thanks

Allan

Dont forget "Jubilee clips" is a brand name. There is a big difference in quality (and price) between Genuine SS Jubilee clips and the rest.

Hi Allan,

As I now do the Smithy's pipes, you'll need the following sizes:

TT Boost pipes:

10x 40-60mm

6x 60-80mm

NA Intake pipes:

8x 60-80mm

6x 12-22mm (small vacuum take-offs)

Radiator pipes:

Top: 4x 32-50mm

Bottom: 4x 32-50mm

Twin induction kit:

6x 70-90mm

If you need the jubilee clips for these let me know as I've got them in stock and I'm just south of Birmingham.

Regards,

Dan

They fit lovely, very tight, no chance of them popping off in a million years. I could keep tightening till they rip through the rubber or bend the hardpipe.

Jimmy your ones are C clamps as apposed to T clamps right ?

Just checked jimmys clamps and they are Tbolt clamps. Cbolt clamps have a clasp that opens up to allow you to put the clamp over the pipe. Tbolt clamps you have to slide the pipe through the appeture.
