What are the best car seats you ever sat in? I am thinking of changing mine for some comfortable light weight sports seats.

I remember the recaro seats from a sierra cosworth were amazingly comfortable and really hugged you in place - quite light weight too....

1990 Vauxhall Senator. Not supportive, but very comfortable. Somehow, I can't see those looking too good in a Z! LOL

I don't find the Z seats all that supportive. They aren't bad. They look good, but could be better. Trouble is, unless you have a SWB, aftermarket seats look a little out of place in the Z.

Some of the best seats, supportive and comfy, were the old Recaro designed seats in the Astra GTE and Astra GSi. Infact, those seats were also fitted to the Cavalier Turbo and GSi.

old peugeot 205 gti seats, they wern't the normal ones tho, extreamely comfortable soft foam things, but to hold you in, prob the recaros from a vectra gsi/accord type r & a billion offer manufacturers cars

My Vectra GSi has Recaro "Style" seats but I think my Zed's leathers are more comfy.

maybe I haven't sat in many comfortable seats, but I think the ones in my Zed are the best I've sat in.

I love the Vec GSI seats! They are supportive yet comfy at the same time, one of the main reasons i miss my old Vec.

Here are some fetching interiors that will get your velour taste buds a dribblin'. You can see where I got my inspiration.

I've always found Volvo seats to be superb! Especially the ones fitted to the first of the 850GLT series. I later drove a V70-R which also had excellent seats. Not too soft, excellent lumbar support (adjustable) and best of all ... heated! ;)

the ford cossie sapphire leather drivers seats were lovely as i recall....bet they wern't light though :(

Not sporty enough for a 300zx though

I loved them, but they just wont fit in the 300zx and they don't tilt! But I am looking for something like them. Also - both my seats are electric and weigh a ton! I can't wait to bin them!

what about the Mercedes S class seat? Very comfy, two heat settings, two cooling settings, vibrate/massage settings as well as electrical adjustable backward/forward, up/down, tilt, electric headrest and even air filled adjustable lumbar supports...& you can pick these cars up now on a 2001 for less than 10k

If I was to buy lightwight aftermarket sports recliners I would be looking at the Cobra Misano's.

Not quite a Lightweight sports Recliner though

Nice.... except for the fact they wont fit in my zed... oh and they won't be very supportive when hard cornering in the zed..... oh and the fact they weigh as much as a small house - they might slow me down... oh, and the fact they wont tilt forward for access to the back seats....

oh... and the fact most of these points were covered in the above posts...

but apart from that - they would be really comfy!:rofl::rofl::slap::D

I agree the pug 406 seats are super comfy (like sitting in your arm chair).

But I liked the Recaro's in my old type R accord :hyper:
