2 quick questions,

the demister on my rear window has never worked since ive had the car apart from 2 small 2p sized sections in really random parts of the glass, ive read rear windows for a uk will fit imports and are half the price if bought brand new, is this correct and where would i get one, do i just call nissan and get them to order one??

second question is i cant get my car to blow warm air through the vents, what is this likly to be, ive seen something about a heater matrix which i might have a go at swapping over with one off a breaker, anything else i would need to check for??

cheers

Hi Bud, Not sure about the rear screen but the heating sounds like the matrix.... If you need one i have a good spare going......cheers Jay

Look very closely at the rear demister, there may be some scratches or breaks in the metal, these can be repaired with conductive paint and will only cost a few quid.

could you use a meter with some pins and check for continuity and then do what Andy said

if there was breaks in the metal would that not stop the entire strip working, there seems to be small parts of 2 of the lines that still heat up and demist the window?

UK and J-spec window would be interchangable, apart from the tint colour, however I would guess that the SWB will be different.

If the OEM one is prohibitively expensive, it's possible that you could have shut the boot too hard with something protruding out which broke the glass. It would then only cost you your insurance excess to replace the back window.......;)

Not that I'd condone that of course......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
