its not a massive upgrade one, think its just slightly better than the standard, for light modifications.

i estimate the car to be 315 BHP at the mo, and maybe up to 340 when on 15 PSI

and im not planning on huge turbos or nothing, so i think this is a good choice for me.

only thing ive noticed, is that the gearbox seems to be a bit more noisy/louder?

can here more of it inside the car??

this common after a clutch change? its also had new gearbox oil etc

It's probably just your grommet that has been incorrectly fitted.

Under the leather around your gear stick there is a plate which holds the stick in place, this is incased in a rubber grommet.

The symptoms that this is loose is when you can hear the noise more in a certain ear. i.e. 3rd or 5th ( means the bottom of the grommet is not fitted correctly) 2nd or 4th (top of the grommet is not fitted correctly).

cheers SM1.

does the box have to come off again to sort?

or can it be done inside the car?

or can i put something else inside to seal the noise out?

I guess Stu's not about at the minute, so I'll jump in... can be done from inside the car - need to remove centre console and gaitor then it should be pretty obvious: go through the gears and you'll see it opening up in some... pretty easy to do.

^^ Yup as above ^^

If you've got that lot off you may want to replace your gear shift bushes while you are there. To test if you need to replace then, put the car in gear (engine off) and see if there is much side to side movement on the gear stick. If there is you're bushes are worn. It's not essential you replace them but it will give you a much better feel to the gear stick if you do.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those clutches are fake :headvswal

there has been ALOT of people bought from them( look on the sxoc and driftworks etc) and the clutches start slipping VERY quickly, and even if you check the exedy site, they state they do not trade on ebay :nono:

I think you might have to buy another one buddy

i brought one of these two and its been exellent no problems touch wood

its in an exedy box, with exedy waranty

its not just one person in this country doing them.

i also have another from the USA. (bought the NA version for my Twin Turbo :smash:

its fine as is, hopefully itl hold out :)

Some have been lucky, most have not, im not saying this to sell my own stuff or anything, i dont sell clutches :smash:

But there has been a HUGE amount of people buy these then get stung, and even though its got exedy on it, its still not genuine mate, as the exedy site states, they do not trade on there ;)
