Oh my god, acceleration is mental, god knows what power its putting out, but it feels a lot quicker than my stock one. Mods are jwt 530 tubs @ 14psi, forged engine fully rebuilt, godspeed ic's 555 injectors, rps clutch and lightened flywheel and pulley set, koyo rad and electric fan, egr and water bypass, full exhaust and new wiring loom, probably missed something.

What would the estimated whp be at the momment and what do u think it would be when I fit an ebc, highest setting at 24psi?

I cant wait.

I'd guess around the 420-430rwhp mark, with the correct mapping of course!

I got roughly the same rebuild done last year and that's what i've been told as an estimate!

IDK about the 24psi. Might be worthwhile asking whoever built your engine!

420 rwhp @ 14 psi?, What power u running and at what boost. Is their anything else I would need to do before upping the boost to 24psi, obviously their will be 4 settings on the ebc, I think I will go for 0, 9, 17, 24psi, gradually upping the boost, 24 psi leaves a safe margin as I believe these tubs can handle a lot higher boost, plus I only have 555 injectors anyway.

take a look at SMW1's post in the dyno section. Same turbos, though he does have manifolds as well.

Any reason why you want to run 24psi ? don't matter what claims are made for the amount of PSI the tubs will run, it's all down to what works.

Many many of the high 400 and mid 500bhp Zeds only run around 18-20psi area.

If it was mine, fit your EBC and when funds/time allow have the likes John Dixon map you car and set your boost to suit the power. But certainly increasing boost can actually lessen the bhp in some cases.

Got me numbers muddled, doh!

Thanks for that, I will be taking it to Jeff at Zedworld after christmas to make sure everything is ok, he will be installing the ebc, I will only run it at 17psi then untill I can get it mapped by John Dixon or some other compitant person.

That's the ticket :smash:

your gt600s are more capable than 530s bud.

I wouldn't run it above 18-19psi and very very rarely take it to 21-22psi!

Wow il have some of those please...

Hmmm i wonder how the godspeeds handle the extra pressure, will be interesting to find out..

If you get it RR try find someone who will measure the charge temp on the dyno Please.

It will put alot of minds at rest to wheather these ic's actually work or not. :D

Oh and 420 at the wheel is FOOKING LOADS. stock is like 250 at the wheel or something just to compare.

Would 24psi be unsafe with the mods that I have then? Reliability is the most important thing for me, I thought and have been told that these tubs can handle 28 to 30 psi, thats why I thought of 24psi as it is well below the max and leaves a safe margin, but if 24 is too much then I will be lowering the highest setting, I want as much info as poss before I get an ebc fitted.

Thanks

Other factors like better air flow, ported/polished heads, dual intake i think these things need improving b4 more pressure can be had, and what compression ratio are you setup at? are you running on stock headgaskets?

Yes, I have new stock hg's and not sure what compression ratio I am set up at, but I have had a compression test and all is ok. Jeff @ zedworld will be talking me through what needs to be done and will be testing everything before I even consider upping the boost.

Yes 24 would be unsafe, I wouldn't go above 18 if reliabilty is important to you!

Reliability is most important, if its going to be unsafe then it will not be upped to 24psi, its fast enough at 14psi anyway, it should be imense at 18/19 psi.
