Hi, I am buying a bodykit for my 300zx, but there is a large space in the new front bumper. I know this is good for keeping the car cool and it looks great. But, I want to get a front mesh, so that stones, etc don't get into the engine ! Anyone know where I can get this or what I can use as a substitute ? thanks.

I have just dropped the stock Kumho's which I had on the car when I got it. (Actually I had 3 sets!) I replaced them with Avon ZZ's. Wow what a difference, I used to think the car suffered fom understeer and a general lack of grip. It wasn't the car it was the tyres. I can actually drive it like a sports car now! As Dave Marley will agree it does grip now! I strongly recommend taking a look. 2 new rears £187.65. Bargain. Supplier name in Bracknell supplied on request! Simon Pass

Watch out if you change those plastic tyre valve caps. I replaced mine about 6 months ago with aluminium caps. They've oxidised inside practically welding themselves to the valves.....now I can't get the bloody things off to check the tyre pressures. Best stick to the plastic ones....looks like a trip to a tyre fitter for new valves. :-(

Hi, i see a few complaints about the Ultimate BB forum software. Although it is the better of the two i installed to test, i admit, there are a few things that aren't quite right with it. However, the reason we changed to this is because the Bravenet forum, which is hosted on Bravenet server, kept stopping, disappearing and taking too long to update (days in some cases). The Ultimate forum software is installed on my own server, which is where the site is installed. I am not reliant on anyone else's services, except for the network service of my employer. And if the server itself dies, then it is my problem, and i can fix it, rather than have to wait fo…

Blimey! there is NO room to put my alarm in the engine bay! Where is a good place to put one? behind the indicator is a good one but getting access to screw it in is a nightmare - is there a good spot? Thanks, Tony.

Nico, Craig, this forum thing is chop! I'm a bit sick of outting in the username and passoword and then losing the lot if something is slightly wrong. Any chance of getting the old one back? I like to waffle on with the minimum of effort!!! Simon Pass

Mmmmnnn Could it be I have been overdoing it recently. As I was pulling up a steep slope I thought the Zed felt a little sluggish up the hill. As the Auto slips anyway how do i tell if the clutch is on its last legs? I seems OK when you are on the move. The trouble is with this sort of thing is you get used to the slow chang. Any definitive test on this anyone? and no Jez I wont be buying a manual just yet, that's what you lot are for!!!! Simon Pass

Check it from your news agents today boys and girls. Apparently the New Z is being designed by a Brit designer from Conventry Uni that now works for Nissan US. Interesting, i guess that explains that horrible MGFesqu looks. I also sheds some light onto why the new the Z will not be using Skyline technology, apparently due to different factions within Nissan and their own Egos and agendas. hmmm even more interesting. Oh well guess there is no need to go and buy it now, Sorry autocar :o)) Z ya Nico91TT

Chaps: Bobs gonna be fitting some new speakers & amps into my Z next week. We're hoping to replace the stock speakers (f & r), my "door-wart" tweeters and get 2 10" subs (with enclosures) fitted and still be able to keep the spare tire AND have space for the roof panels... Piccys to come (hopefully :-) ... /\/\ark

I am considering purchasing a 1990 pearl white Z. However, it has a tapping constantly which the owner says is the lifters and he will have fixed.Could this mean other things could be damaged by driving the car with bad lifters?

Z Viking - how's it going? Question time! So, tell us about your turbos... The good/bad points... * Lag compared to stock turbos * Low-down performance (3000-4500) * Are they re-built using some stock parts? * What kind of seals / bearings * What's are the ratings/PSI/turbine size increases from stock? * Are you glad you bought it instead of the $1000 more for JWT 500/600s * Other parts you had to replace at the same time... Where can we find more info on them? yes, I may be interested... 8)

Here's a weird question: How big is the hole that the rear wiper comes through on the rear deck lid? Could someone have a look to see if the hole is just smaller than the rubber grommet. Bill

Hi I have a continueing problem with water loss and cannot find the leak. I can see water all over the left hand side of the car at the front after driving it, but when I leave it just ticking over at the garage then their is no sign of the leak. Does anyone have any suggestions as at the moment I appear to be stuck. The next plan is to replace the bottom hose and radiator but this may be a little extreme. Could somebody also confirm the position of the water pump and describe the look / position of the coolant pressure release valve. I don't think its the release valve, but does anyone know how to check it. Besides the leak the fans and thermostat appear to be worki…

What I've heard is that Greddy fits best. Then there's also a price issue. Anybody know a good place to get them for a fair price? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. BTW, check out my home page for some new pictures from the Holland meeting! Maciek [www.z-car.net]

Some of you might have seen this on Z32, posted by SeedyRom, Apparently that is the back rear quater of the new 2003Z it is pretty much final appart from a few cosmetics that are still open to review. The Engine that is going in it is apparently he NA VQC engine that will be a hybrid of the versions that are allready in the Maxima and Pathfinder in the states : IMO this is pretty disaspointing, i would sooner have seen the Skyline RB26DETT like some of the Japanes have started putting in their Z32's : :o)))) Apparently Nissan Assure us that the engine will put out 300bhp, but what sorta tuning options are we going to be left…

Hi guys, I thought I'd post this discussion I had with Jim at JWT and SGP last night, about what my next options are after my AVC-R install... (yep - it's cut for an email to Viking) Feel free to comment, correct me, hang me, shoot me as required..... > Yep, 1400 is the quote I got from SGP - only asking!!!!! > > So what fuel are you running when you get 18psi... 95 euro or 98 euro super? > I had a really long chat with JWT and SGP last night about what boost I can > safely run and what my next options are... it's pretty much like I > expected.... upto 13.5 psi on stock turbos/injectors/fuel and pop. Apart > from maxing …
