Seen a silver one in Twickenham on Saturday b4 the Rugby

how the hell do you get 'em off!!!!!!!!!! :shock: sorry.... hi all!! Went to clean the throttle bodies yesterday..come to take the stock pipes off and jeez they were not moving anywhere!!!! There welded on the throttle housing!!! Tried to get a small screwdriver under there and start prizing them off but looked like the rubber may of started to split if i did that..anyone got any tips!??! Ta

Got a silver zed and I can see (especially in bright sunlight) that it's kind of faded on the bonnet. Like the silver is turning white or something. Not sure how to explain I should take a picture of it. Any idea what this is? Or if T-cut can sort it out? Cheers, Al

Right, think i am resolving the brakes problem so i only have to sort the problems of; No c/l working on passenger side? Speedo only works every now and then or flickers about? Any help to solve these probs would be great.

My good friend, David Boyce, username DAB1 was driving last Saturday (26th) in his 300zx, it had been raining heavily all day and he lost control of his car. The 300 went off the road and into a tree. He died from chest trauma. I know Dave was a 300zx fanatic and loved this site, so I thought for all those who have chatted with him about misc converstions and remember him would want to know. He genuinly was the nicest guy who I learnt a lot from and always had so much respect for, he was a father and husband. I popped round to see my folks yesterday and when I came to drive home I couldn't start my Z, because the immobiliser wouldn't disengage. I tried all three different fobs, all with the same effect (...like none). Even got the AA out and after taking everything apart he could bypass the starter, so that was working, but apparently it's linked in to the fuel line as well(?), so it still wouldn't start. Has anyone had any trouble like this before? Any tips?

Hi, Dose anyone have a boost leak detector kit? Or dose anyone know how to make one up? I need one urgently..

picking my first zed up this week, never owned one before, cant wait to drive her home. Reason for the thread is i would like some pointers on what to look for eg. common probs i should look for on the car. As this is my first zed i would like it to be as trouble free as possible ,so would like any info on experiences you have when buying these cars. cheers George :cool:

hi there, i have been searching around for ages looking for the best place to buy gauges - a boost gauge to start but would like to get oil pressure and water temperature at a later date so i would like them to match - rather they be cheaper and reliable (if thats a possible combination) Advice would be much appreciated

Between J3 and J4, about 10:45. Only got a brief glance as I was heading the other way in a non-Zed. Looked like a stock car, with a Lady driving and a Bloke riding shotgun. Anyone here???

can anyone recommend anywhere to refurb wheels, preferably in Manchester?

as above the drivers side locks vis the key but doesnt activate the passenger side, had a damned good look at it and cant seam to figure out why, all plugs are connected ( window works from drivers side) but no locking :confused: also while i have your attention, the boot release doesnt sem to work, i can hear a relay in the in the passenger side rear quarter clicking but nothing, i though it was just a cable release??? :confused: any body got any ideas on the above, Cheers Neil

Is the speed sensor different on n/a - tt Models??? or different years on the Z32 or j-spec - UK spec??? I ask as i was given a new speed sensor, well used when i got my zed and it seems to be about a mm or 2 bigger than the 1 in my car. My car is a 1990 j spec tt, not sure what the speed sensor came out of. Also the wires come out on the opposite side. Any help would be really good. Thanks in advance. Pete

hi all, I have a manual TT. But I have a automatic speed radiator which include oil cooler for gearbox. Do you think I could use the extra cooler for my engine oil or will it warm up to much the water? thank you

Fitting decat pipes on wednesday, I gather you need only 2 gaskets for the join to the middle section. Anyway does anyone have the part numbers for these and is this the kind of thing a main dealer woujld ahve in stock?

Posted in the General section like a tw4t. Simple question. which boost controller should I buy. Greddy Profec E, Apexi Avcr or any other. Has anyone fist hand experience with both? Any advice would be appreciated. :)

Earlier this year I had a max street clutch installed with all the trimmings including the flywheel. From what i understood, this unit uses the standard OEM clutch plate. Is this right? I also got the rear crank seal replaced whilst it was all off. Now the clutch seems fine, but if i try spin the rear wheels, it does happen but i can smell the clutch. Is this common? I dont usually do stuff like trying to spin the wheels, I usually let the car start moving first before flooring the pedal but surely it shouldnt smell like that if i do. I got the same smell when reversing the car up onto ramps. Maybe its just me and the way I use the clutch. Any ideas f…
