As above. Just fitted the drivers side PCV valve and now there is a rattling sound coming from that area!! Is it the valve opening and shutting or could I have upset something else when moving all the other gubbings out of the way? Any advice welcome!! Andy

Yo yo and thrice yo I am after an ECU upgrade chip that has good mappings. Who could supply me with one and can i fit this myself to a jap import swb manual TT. My zed's engine is stock with a Greddy Profec II B boost controller. With the ECU i was thinking of having a boost setting of 13psi, just short of 1 bar.

Finally got the rear down on my Z. Eibachs all round (.8inch drop) with new dampers and ended up clamping a coil down on the rear (1.25 inch) using Grayston spring clamps as I didn't want to give up the perfest street ride that Eibachs give you. Spent hours doing the rear camber with "too fast too cool" adjustable top arms. Really happy with that now. Have taken the negative camber out a bit on the front with Harves camber kit using existing bolt but it doesnt seem to be enough so that's the next job! Before anyone starts preaching, I know all the pro and cons with clamping and Its a compromise I am happy with. Any way what do you think? no more o…

Saw a silver one with blue alloys parked off Brabazon, Oadby. I passed by it on the way to the gym, then just saw you drive away at about 12.05 while I was on the way back.

zed died about 2 weeks ago , its currently in a local garage ( tyne & wear) ,been there 10 days, they finally got round to look at it yesterday telling me the timing belt has snapped, too big a job for him to do, he,s suggested a company called macdonald racing, they,ve took the zed cd away to look at , gonna ring me today (have'nt yet) anyone any idea how much this is gonna be. cheers

Just got off the phone from the dealer, reckons its not firing on 2 cylinders, says its not coil packs or whatever they are, theres a spark etc, he reckons next step is injectors? which means taking manifolds off etc bit of a job? he hasnt hooked it to a conzult but reckons that wont tell you much anyway, theres no engine warning lights on or anything so he doubts it will tell him much. has bassicly told me hes gonna look into the injectors and get back to me... mean while im ****ed for a car as its my only car

Ran an ecu diagnostic and code 34 came up ...i think thats Knock Sensor Circuit or something like that can anyone shed some light on this for me and how it may be remedied ....also to my abs light remains on constantly... thanks

:headvswal iv bought loads of new parts for my 300zx and i live in the top part of n. ireland but i cant seem to find any good performance mechanics here to fit all my new parts and its been due up for mot on 4th of this month so im kinda keen to get the work done a.s.a.p. some of the things i need doing are, new clutch and flywheel, new exhaust front to back hole thing, cranck shaft pulley, belts, disc brakes, rear subframe bushess and more. so you see i need some1 who no's what there doing to my baby, no cowboys aloud near. not looking to have to go to far as the car isnt really road worthy but is perfectly running fine it just sounds like a tank at mome…

i'm putting on the car and came accross bell direct who seem to let you do any amount of modding but they just pay out for the basic car which suits me just fine. http://www.bell.co.uk £740 quid fully comp with 250 quid excess I'm paying virgin £720 for a standard zed not including theft (because i had no tracker)hat'll be cancelled tomorrow. Quote was including: bodykit, new exhaust, custom interior, bigger wheels, uprated brakes and none defined engine mods (underdrive pulley etc) Not bad at all, shall be changing over tomorrow.

Now i know that there are 4mm, 6mm and 8mm hosing in the enginebay but are there any other size hosing, i have found a place i can get it really cheaply, andthey do 3, 4, 6, 8, and 16mm, with a 2mm wall thickness so any ideas of what i can use it for, apart from what smithy reccomends it for, it comes in 5m rolls so i have loads. Sold my first Zed to the mate who works beside me almost 2 years ago now. It was my first Zed , and I got it relatively cheap with a knackered engine. Didnt mod it much, just replaced the engine, new tubs and brought it back to life again really. Here she is when I sold it ! [/img] Engine out. [/img] Engine in. Hi ive had my zed for about 3yrs now and was thinkin of selling it and buying a escort cosworth but now having second thoughts. If i keep it, i want to upgrade the engine and a new set of alloys but not sure wot power upgrade and cant find a nice set of split rims! I want the rims with a nice deep inset! Power upgrade must be reliable but i want it to be quick,can you give me some idea of perfomance figures for wot upgrade and cost please. took car back to dealer as still under warranty, phoned me bout 30 mins ago sayin hes cleaned all the connectors but its still not fixed it so hes going to look further tomorow, i still think its a coil thingy

With the people here who have been there, done it and got the t-shirt when it comes to dropping an american V8 into a zed. How much does it cost and who does the work? Do you do it yourself or have a company or mechanic do it? I know of someone who has been threatening to sell a LS1 engine and 6sp gearbox. I can't do the work myself and I'm sure there will need to be a lot of extra parts/work to make it fit. So as a project, what does it cost? whats needed? and who could do it for me?

Got my car featured in January's edition of Nissan's Inside Track quarterly magazine. It's a mag for workers at the Nissan factory in Sunderland and also for all UK Nissan staff. Not quite a JTuner feature but still nice to keep with the car The car was on the front cover and both centre pages I was interviewed by the company's Press Office, so some of the wording is there's and not mine. The thing that really spoils the feature is the undertray inspection flap velcro has come away and it stands out like a saw thumb. Didn't realise until the company photographer had finished. Needs a bit of Photoshop.
