Ok. let's start with the air/fuel gauge. It shows lean when driving along the same rpm. When give it some throttle it jumps to rich and down just as fast. Datascan shows that both 02 sensors jumps when I give it throttle. But the 02 sensors stays at the bottom when driving along and does not respond before I tap the throttle again. IS THE AIR/FUEL GAUGE SUPPOSED TO SHOW LEAN WHEN DRIVING?? though it should show optimal.. the old spark plugs were black because of overfueling. Could this have damaged the o2 sensors somehow? The car also hestitates when driving along... it responds like when you run out of gas. Fine when I push down the throttle and accelerate?, b…

Had a rather nice package turn up on my doorstep the other day so thought I'd share with the group :D I ordered a few goodies from my "go to" guy in Japan, and this is what arrived... ...a set of genuine Carbing strut braces and a pair of exceptionally well-made URAS bonnet vents as sported on the SPL time-attack car! John and I both needed a solution to venting the bonnets on our two V8 project cars and it was he who suggested going for the URAS vent...and luckily I knew a man in Japan...and it seemed rude not to order anything else while I was at it. ;) Takehito is not only a great guy and a good friend but frankly I'm amazed at his e…

Hi All, I suspect I won't get an answer to this now Duffer has been banned (what a sad loss to this site, anyone know if he's haunting an alternative site?) Anyway, I'm hoping someone can offer a definitive answer/confirmation... I've had some injector problems which have lead me to consider the fuel system as a whole. I believe that the injectors have a common power/signal supply and all pulse simultaneously, I also suspect that if a single injector goes down or is unplugged that the rest will receive a larger signal and inject more fuel leading to a rich mixture on the 'good' cylinders and unburnt fuel. This would explain a lot, can anyone confirm that this in…

I have given up trying to find some S2 UK clocks for my car so am going to by some more common S1 clocks and actually swap the dial faces over. The only problem is the odometer will stil be in km's. Is it possible and if so legal to swap the odometer over? I have managed to find a set that has done just over the miles min has done.

Hello all, I'm not one of the more actif member but I need help. I was racing a 750 Gsxr when suddently my engine stifled and a hudge cloud of smoke follow. I was in 5th gear and 6000 Rpm. I then let the car go in neutral and bring it back home with a truck. I then restart the engine ini my garage and the smoke was coming directly from the engine and the exhaust. Considering the smoke from the exhaust I was thinking the driver (I'm french) side turbo was dead but I could not explain the smoke for the engine bay. Yesterday, I worked on the car and this is where the nightmare start. I jack up the car and there was oil all over the engine (driver…

I haven't driven the zed for a couple of months - and probably not driven it in the wet for a year.. Well My daily driver is in for it's MOT so I had no choice but to drive the zed into work today and I still can't tell if it was a horrible or amazing drive... I couldn't seem to put the power down at all without it snaking all over the road even if I just feathered the throttle lightly. Roundabouts were a drifting nightmare - and I wasn't trying to at all... That's not how I like to drive especially in rush hour! At the start it was really unnerving and I was quite worried. By the time I got to the end of the journey I was used to it, and it slides qui…

Failed my MOT today because of having ahole in the exhaust pipe, they said for me to take it somewhere that can weld the hole. But tried about six garges big and small and they said they do not do it, does anybody know where I can take it be done in the Bedfordshire or North London Area? Thanks.

I was told by the surrey rolling road chap that the Apexi AVC-R is the far superior and most reliable boost controller of the range. I have generally taken this advice as gospel as he has obviously seen a large amount of different specs and perfmances from a multitude of ebc's... I just thought i would get a wider outlook from other experiences and get opinions from you lot  in your opinion what IS the best ebc and why?
