Would i be right in thinking that if the standard ECU is kept, a map can be written for a certain set of upgrades. Is it possible to get a map for your specific car and if so hows this done, without going to a stand alone or piggy back system. Also is adding 740s a good idea or would ppl stick to 555's? Cheers,

Well I got the car home today and there are still some little jobs left. I did the worst thing and rubbed the paint off on the spoiler edge :mac1: AND! there just wasnt enough time to polish it so its basically compounded and the polish will have to wait until next week. But all in all I am very pleased with myself (and my mate Dave) with the car as it is: It isnt a patch on some of the cars on here really but its much better than it was. What do you think?

Hi all, I thought I would show you how far I have got with the restoration of my zed. Even looking at it now it dont look like I have done much but believe it or not it has taken me over 14 months to strip the car near enough to a bare rolling shell and then restore or replace nearly every part. If I ever have the time I would like to make some sort of diary of the build as I have hundreds of pictures from the start up to the present time. Here is a few pics: Before restoration Shell Paint stripping Now Rebuilt head lights sprayed Black with a tint of red glitter Engine so far New seat with interior trim…

Trying to locate why im in safety mode, ive got a UK TT manual, only boosting to 7psi.? Why would this be? and what cause's it? ive had the det sensor by passed. 2nd'ly Went to do an ecu check to locate the probs, and the ecu has no potentiometer screw??? Is there another way of reading this ecu? Ive got a spare ecu on my Jap TT auto. i understand that an auto can be put into and manual but not vicer vercer, if i used the jap one then it will be limited as the UK is not, but could at least show me what errors there are. Any help, much appreciated. Stu

Order placed on line Thurs night 21st Aug. Order received Tues 26th Aug 10.30Am Well pleased. Fedex Int economy. :):):) I have bought items from nearly all our Subscribed traders and will continue to do so but sometimes it is necessary or cheaper and quicker to import direct. Fedex normally send the customs demand after delivery so I will just need to wait and see how much it is. ;)

I have bitten the bullet and booked my zed into our local bodyshop. I have resisted the urge to have it painted Ford Focus ST orange and will be going for a FunkySi style modern/stock look in the original gunmetal grey. The only thing is I cant decide on Wheel design or size. Do I go 18" or 19"? I can't stay on 17's due to my coming brake upgrade. What design of wheels suits it best? I really like skyline Daves Votex Manias - but maybe they are just a bit too much for a stock zed. Waddya think?

Since I bought my Z I barely drive this car...it´s most of the time (sometimes weeks sitting on the garage) I only drove it like twice on a long trip; when I was at the Nissan dealer they told me this is not good for these type of cars..since they need to be driven on the highway in order to give the turbos life and engine also. I have never driven many long trips since I am in a way maybe wrong thinking that driving much kms might be bad for the engine and the car..the less I drive it the better I will keep it...maybe I am wrong..I think in a way that these type of cars need to be sometimes dirven on the highway and long distance. You guys are much more experts..driv…

Behind the passenger kick panel, I have 3 boxes. I would like to know if I have labelled the pic correctly? If not what is correct. One other thing is that my car has had a manual conversion and I believe that my Hicas is disengaged. Could I disconnect both the autobox and hicas boxes? Or does the hicas work the power steering as well? Thanks Ant
