General Discussions - Non 300ZX

ok so i seem to be having a bit of a problem, my zed seems to be running well as far as i can tell, oil and water are all cool, its a non turbo and seems to lag a bit when pulling but apart from that everything else under the bonnet appears to be good, however when driving 'if i lets say over take' hit 120mph i get a burning smell in the cab, when i drop back below say 110mph it goes away, i can't for the life of me get my head round why, oh while i'm on the point my rear brakes are low and i want to upgrade my brake system! what are the best discs calipers etc to get? plus currently she's black but i'm thinking of changing that to the gt40 gulf blue and orange! what…

Hi all Well put my deposit down on a great looking Black TT Zed, picking it up on Saturday and i cant wait!! Great car Dai - cheers. Im looking at getting a Snooper , only an S1 or something..firstly. anyone know - Are these any good? and secondly - does the power cord stretch to the windscreen in the Zed!!! Thanks Ed

I know sod all about boost gauges, but I think it's electronic, ie, no vacume pipework. Just two multi pin plugs in the back. Just gotta go and remove the control box and loom. It's this exact look with the 3 warning lights and buttons.

Having a look on ebay I came accross this obviously with these being the 300zx forum Its not the place to find GTO experts but I think I am pretty clued up on them and as far as I am aware a 3.5 litre twin turbo version does not exist? So hes not lying when he says its rare! He clearly does talk a bit a rubbish as he claims over 500bhp but doesnt provide details of how this has been achieved. I dont think that the HKS filter will acheive this figure!

ok, the blitz datascan software, whats it like compared to the consult, i know they are similar and ive heard the consult is better but does the datascan give you as much info as the consult?

Hi, most of you guys know about me getting pulled a couple of weeks ago cos of my window tints. well today i finally decided to get rid of the tints in the driver and passenger window, im gutted! in my opinion, its spoilt the overall look of the car, i know that probably sounds stupid your probably thinkin big wow. but i loved the look of the tinted windows, but i supose its better than haveing to constantley be on the look out for coppers at least i can just relax and enjoy the car now. and a big thanks to slick pete for the windows top bloke :bow: :bow: cheers si

Having been pulled three times in two weeks im afraid to say that the number plate has to go back on :cry: I know I should have one anyway but the car looks so good with out it check it out on the Ricerocket website!! cant afford any more fixed penalty fines and the up keep of the zed, been a bad day altogether actually fell of the kerb and damaged me wheels got stopped for no number plate and now the skirt as cracked due to the frost getting in an hairline crack that I didnt know happened when I hit the bottom of the car 6 weeks ago well things can only get better

went outside this morning and the bleedin wheelie bin has been nicked FFS. same happened to a bloke who lives up the road - claims he saw five hoodie scum take them over the park at the bottom of the road. no sign of the bins but then again it is a big park. i was worried cos of identity theft and everything although i dont think ive thrown any documents away since it was last emptied. i think (hope) they chose mine cos its in the driveway close to the pavement. so if anyone comes on here claiming to be me, it isn't, it's them! :smash:

Ive spent the day stripping and flatting back all the centre console trim etc to paint, Cant decide if should go body colour RED or satin type silver ? I think Red might look a little over the top ?

was at Crails 1/4 mile today, my curiousity got the better of me so i made the journey up. Track was wet and i only managed a 14.6sec 1/4, even with my traction control on "wet" (0% slip) it was struggling in 1st and 2nd gear. Time seem a bit slow? i was happy enough with it being wet and all. Highlight of the day was an old guy in a Porsche Carrera 4. Rolled down the window "fancy a crack up the strip? i'm sick of racing all these corsa's and saxo's, need a real car to race!" Didn't tell me it was 4x4 did he lol, got a great start off the line but i was catching him near the end. Even said on a dry day i would have beat him.. ah well top guy.. sorry i did…

Here's a thought.. would it be good to be a goth? On the plus side you'd have no problems getting a new group of mates if you moved to another town / city as you'd be straight in with the goths there. Plus the goth/alternative women wear PVC / rubber outifts that look prety fine. But 90% of people would think you were a bit wierd and you might not get promoted at work. What do you think?

Woohoo! Got the Eibachs on the rear today. No injuries or trappings... which was nice. Car feels good too! Bit to soggy outside to see properly, but feels good nonetheless. :) Mark

why dont you bite the bullet and take it to a nissan dealer, yes they are useless, but they do have a working conzult, pay your 70 odd quid and see what they come up with it may help save money in the long run who is with me on this one :smash:
