General Discussions - Non 300ZX

I just got my 300 back from the Zen Garage's Lincolnshire workshop. I have the cambelt service plus quite a few other bits done - so quite a lkot of work. They did a great job - they really know their stuff and are and honest. I'll be going back there for future servicing etc. Cheers guys! :duffer:

I have jut gone out to check oil on car and I've taken top off rocker cover to Put a drop of oil in and its covered in emulsified oil :cry: :headvswal Now there is nothing on dipstick(except oil) and the car does not smoke also water level has not gone down. The has only done 100 miles in 3 months to and back from work daily 0.2 of a mile (bone idle I know) Do yo think these short journeys could have done this or is it the Dreaded head Gasket :cry: :cry:

As title suggests, I am thinking about the option of selling my Zed. Just to make this clear I am only considering it at the moment. Im sure you are all familiar with my car, its the candy red sparkly one. Click on my ride to see several pictures. Can anyone recommend a good (without being too illegal) plate size for the 99 spec front. If you could would it be possible to post a link to a pic with a 99 spec front with front plate and size. Im getting one made up and theres about 20 different sizes you can go. I believe (there was a post) I can go slightly smaller as long as characters are sized well etc. Would it be worth going for a square plate on the front? I dont wanna get pulled all the time by police. Can I just have normal size letters and spacing but just have 10mm above, below and at the sides - that could cut the plate size down dramatically without changing letters. sorry if thats lo…

Got a call today from a car dealer, he had let a young lad take out a non turbo 300zx at the weekend, not too far down the local duel carriagway this happened.....armco... eek.....all at 30mph of course, the good thing is the driver walked away unhurt but think it is RIP to this zed, have taken an option on the salvage though. Unofficial 10.9 1/4 on a GPS, More tuning to be done next month only running 21psi but should be running at least 30psi on slicks in April. got around to finishing the install last weekend, only had the stuff since xmas! Monitoring boost, fuel pressure, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp & EGT, using the warning light as both master warning on the sensors and as a shift light :) shame about the flash in the last pic
