Eventually got a semi decent figure from the Insurance Company and decided to take their offer, plus buy the car back. Was going to go for the wide arch style and re-paint. However ! Was offered a very large sum of money for the Zed the way she sat, without doing any repairs. Started thinking and looking around. Dont all rip the p**s here, but have made a decision. On Monday I will be the owner of a Chevrolet Corvette C4. Not yet registered in this country, 5.7 TPI motor, 3 over 4 manual gearbox, full leather and 52,000 miles. All import duties paid. well i was in a 500+ horsepower supercharged 350Z yesterday and what can i say apart from sweet mother of christ i want one!!!!!!!!! acceleration is unbelievable, managed to get the power down great, too. Doesn't matter what speed you're doing it pulls like a train. handles a dream and the stopping power was awesome.. a completely balanced and extremely fast car. Chatter sounds great too, last forever lol The guy can drive, too which makes all the difference.. leaves the braking til the last second.. scary!! Don't know if anyone knows of it but it's Zportec's car http://www.zportec.com/ If my turbos go i know what my next project will be.

Anyone goit any pics of their retrim in Ivory/cream. Ive just bought some "Chester Ivory" leatherette, to replace my tweed and am hoping Ive made the right choice. Was gonna go red or blue.

As title - anyone tried them yet. They are not for my ZX, but my daily driver as I don't like the tyres on there at the moment. These new Toyos are virtually the same tread pattern as Dunlop SP9000 sport (which I'm very pleased with on my ZX) yet I can get a set of 4 for the Merc fully fitted by e-tyres for under £350 - around £30 less than the Dunlops. Still bemused why i got a bill from them??!?! as i'm PAYE and have been for all my working life and while ago got a £700 tax bill so i questioned it so they investigated my file and came back a few months ago with a revised bill of £1800 :headvswal so been trying to get it sorted with P60's and company car details etc but what they say goes and i HAVE to pay it now before they send the bailiffs in :xxx: :mad: so just had to make a payment which pi55es me off as it was out of my zed fund :cry: so looks like the bodykit, paint and the rest of my retrim will have to wait :( Ohhh well its friday so time for a beer i think Mike

Just changed the steering wheel to a MOMO Pilota with a HICAS Cruise hub supplied by Mike of MJP. The looks and feel are fab. Was a complete doddle to do and had no problems in taking steering wheel off as used Jeff's karate chop method and voila it just came off. There is no hicas light on and horn working perfectly so thus chuffed. Thank you to each and every member of this forum as without their technical advise and moral support this wouldn't have been achieved at such ease.

Just phoned carol nash ins, quoted me £234 fully comp on a classic policy and £485 fully comp on a normal one. Not going to change the car ever so i think ill lose my 7 years no claims and go classic.

Yup, the 600's been in for 3 weeks now!-was getting a bit cheesed off TBH but been down today and seen how tight it is!! :x: When you think I made the poxy manifolds from around 11/8-Andy has managed to get 4x13/4 pipes in! :bow: It will be worth the wait I know-it looks the danglies! :dance: :cool:

Anyone recommend (or send) me a copy of a decent Macro program. Preferably freeware as I have no money :D Or a version with serial number that I can *trial* I only need it for a few days :) Im looking to Record a sequence of mouse movements, opening web page, filling out, and scheduling it to run every 5 minutes. some of the macro progs Ive seen dont have a schedule function or if they do its only schedule daily. Hmm interesting one. I genuinely didnt realise I was out of tax in November and parked in Newcastle city centre. I got a ticket for "failure to display current vehicle excise licence" and a £30 fine. A right sod, but paid it anyway. Last week I got a letter from DVLA saying they had been notified of the same offence (same date, time and location) and demanding a fine of £52. :mad: Obviously both letters gave the usual shite about maximum fines of 1000 quid etc etc. 2 things spring to mind: - Is that allowed that 2 different bodies (Northumbria Police AND DVLA) can fine me for the same offence/mistake (total cost of £82); - Given that the off…
