Went into town this morning, to sort out Bankers draft for the new Zed. Took the Rover 214i. Park up do the business etc. On walking back to the car 3 chavs two smirking and one pouring cola over my bonnet. He red lines it and pulls away with little wheel spin and gets 10.8 1/4 mile, how does he get such good traction? If I did that in my zed I would be wheel spinning all over the place and he's got more power than me!

here goes... how about if we as a club put advert's on the back of Maccy d's burger box's (thought about a news paper but that would be wasted on them) stating the performace stats of a 300zx. this way the chav scum would know they dont stand a chance in their escort Si's and corsa's not forgetting the nova's, on a friday night when they try and out perform you in ur zed. even if they lean forward in their seats as you sail by thinking it will make a difference to their speed! ?

replaced the little round grommet that slides up and down the channel in the door for the windows, mine had a bit of rattle, followed the pdf on how to do it but as the cap was still on i had to use some lock grips on the old pin to undo it. the new one was easy to put on with long reach neele pliers , screwed it on and the cap went on even easier with a piece of flat with double sided tape on and clik in it went, re-greased everything after i cleaned it all out and its like new!... and erm no.. i didnt take pics.. doh! :headvswal

Bro was driving back in the min, there was a clunk 4 miles from home and it suddenly lost power and there was no compression in the 3rd cylinder. Got it back to find the air filter and a bolt missing.... whoops The weld holding the nut on inside the filter had broken and the nut had worked its way loose dropping straight into the inlet valve. Luckily it hadn't done any damage to anything but had jammed the valve open. Stripped the head down, did the seals while we were at it, put it back together and it started first time on the key. Brill, garage quoted 300 quid, cost 20 including the gasket set and valve seals :D :hyper: :hyper:

Just spent the afternoon cleaning the 2 zed's, and remembered i had a set of genuine zx matts... so tell the mrs, to get them from the shed, and she can have them for her car, she cant get the matts as they stuck under something.... So in i go, the big man, and a poxy chuffing drill fell from the shelf, and lands, broken end of the drill bit, right in my big chuffing toe........ there i am, with a drill sticking out my big toe, blood like you aint seen before, now throwing anything in sight. fair play to the Mrs though, she run inside for some tissue. to clean the fooking floor

RWYB action at York tomorrow(Jun 18th) SteveJ and me are going as its a round of the ZClub Drag Challenge. This will be the fourth RWYB day ive been at this year(2 at Santa Pod and 2 at York). I have yet to see a TT run!!!(apart from Tony C who I beat!!!) :hyper: About time some of you got out there and actually got some times instead of sitting indoors pathetically typing on a keyboard about how many mods you got and how much power you are making(or THINK you are making) :rant: :rant: So .... anyone?????? OK as some of you know I have sold my car :cry: . Hooked on bikes ATM, so no further plans for another Z as yet. This club has been very helpful, but of late there seems to be a lot of moaners, putting me off the forum a wee bit. But on the whole, this forum is great, saved me muchos dineros and allowed me to have the car running the way it should be. The car is sold to a guy from Belfast who picks it up on Saturday the 17th, so I will tell him about the club, plus the stickers will still be on the window :dance: . Trying to get good 0-60 times. I know wheelspinning is losing traction - hence losing forward motion. I know you need to get turbos spooled up so revs are high etc but on a manual whats the best way of getting a good launch (without traction control). Whenever you see the stig on top gear he gives loadsa wheelspin. Ive had a few runs now I got decats and u/d pulley and can get a 4.79@65mph. On the subject - anyone know why its not 0-60 on the datascan - you select 0-60 but it peaks at figures just over 60.
