Estimated the 0-60 time of my little pug 106 1.5D today and i reckon its between 25 and 30 seconds.. EEEEK. What a bag of poo, anyone else got one of these non-turbo'd hoovers? does do 600 miles to a tank though. need to improve the perf its dangerously slow, any decent ideas?

This has been puzzling me for a few days. Honda F1 have just been out in America trying to set a 400kmh speed record with one of their old V10 cars. They narrowly missed breaking the record but it was quite close. In 1991 the tuning company Jun hit 419kmh with a modded 300zx, setting a world record for its class that I believe still stands. Now this was 15 years ago, with a much heavier, less aerodynamic car. I would guess that the 300zx had some monster bhp but surely the F1 car would not be that much less powerful. The F1 car would definately have a huge power to weight ratio advantage over the zed surely? You would of thought that the F1 car would have…

Hopefully this ambitious thread title will bring some needed attention. I was thinking... very positive move for this club could be the introduction of later model 300's into the UK!!? Yesterday. First thing that made me happy was the fact it decided not to take the Zed to work yesterday, and then it started pissing it down, and my car was locked up in the garage....Result! Secondly, I spotted a lad that I used to go to school and scouts with about 8-10 years ago. I by no means am a bully, but you know the kind of lad that everyone picks on, well that was him. When I saw him I felt kinda guilty and apologised to him for being nasty whilst we were younger. It made his day and mine. Result. I am one happy chappy today! :dance:

Is it worth having a CARS WANTED Area below cars for sale? Where buyers can put exactly what they are after and how much they want to spend etc etc? Could help put buyers and sellers together easyer? I know we have the cars for sale section and you can say well buyers can just look for the car they want in there, but say someone says they want a series 2 with leather, TT, manual in grey, there is not one for sale on here but someone might know where there is one to point the buyer in the right direction??? What are peoples thoughts on that?

i'm 99% sure i was followed this morning. Left the house @ 7.40am got into the car and noticed a black Ford KA with two Thai kinda guys in it with longish hair in the area. where my house is its like a one way, and you have to do a U - turn.. (duh) - so i hoped in, turned around, and drove off... looked in the rearview mirror and they were there.. right behind me... crossed over a road, turned left a couple of hundred metres away, looked again, and they were there. Drove down winchester road, past the garage, turned right as if going to hospital - they were there... turned right into a Cul-de-sac kind of road, and they were there.... i hoped out, looke…

I was driving back with PaulG when I had to stop for petrol. Got back on the A1 and got my foot down to catch up with him and was doing 120+ for about 3 or 4 miles on a nice smooth twisty section of road just above Ferrybridge, absolutely flying past everyone else doing 60 ish. Looked in my mirror and saw an unmarked police volvo in the distance trying to catch up with his blue lights on :( Slowed down to 55 ish and he stuck on my arse for a couple of miles and then turned off! Don't know if he just hadn't got my speed or what but he was so far back I must have gone past him miles before at some silly speed. What a result :D

their has been a lot said about the traders concerning JAE I can understand people been annoyed at the lack of them, which i myself brought up at the AGM. i can also understand the problems the traders have, in setting up stalls and the costs.and travelling expences,and stock movement...(smithy for one has to travell from the IOM, as most of us know) SO in consideration for next years JAE,, would it not be possible for the traders to set up stall in our own 300zx marquee, like our own little village ????
