...to see the electric soft parade :) There were only 20-30 people turned up and a band called the hazey janes were supporting who were awesome. I had a chat with them after the gig and got a signed copy of their album off them. The female singer/guitarist/keyboard player was quite cute too and scottish :D After electric soft parade played i had a chat with the lead guitarist (plays in a band called brakes with his brother who's the lead singer) and drummer (the drummer from dodgy?). The lead singer played with sparks on jonathan ross the other week. Really cool guys and had a great night all for £6.50! :D They said i should have a pint with…

Is there a list somewhere of who's banned and why? It seems fairly easy to get banned these days and I'd like to avoid making the same mistakes, ideally... :x:

Okay following on from the previous thread started by Dave Marley about bannings please to show if you agree or disagree we should have an additional sticky/thread of users who have been banned with details. No more sillyness, negativity or fighting just constructive thought processes please folks. This is not trying to undermine the mods this is a simple show of hands to see who agrees and disagrees.

im running media player 10 with the latest divx codec installed on 2 laptops and yet one mp4 (im pretty sure thats what it is) wont play on one of the laptops. Problem is this 2nd laptop doesnt have net access so i cant just connect and get the codec it thinks it needs. I have searched around the net, but havent been able to find a codec pack for media player 10 (only 9 and this is already in mp10). Both machines running xphome and pretty much got all updates on. Any way i can find out exactly what encoding has been used to make this movie, and then which codec i might need? Thanks all

A while back I fell in automotive love with Nissans R390. Not only a fantastic machine but IMO a great design: As an arty-farty type I used to do a lot of sculpture and although I mainly paint nowadays it crossed my mind that maybe it would be cool to sculpt a custom front end loosely based on the R390 for the Zed. Thankfully I have no sense of reality whatsoever and went at it. TBH I never intended it to go on my own car as there's already some great custom work being done to it by someone who actually knows what they're doing (Steve at Bodywork Plus), I really just did it as an excercise to see if I could. Below is a very rough work in progress shot of whats …

Was chatting to a friend from this site last night and i had a brain wave, (rare for me), There must be loads of folks on here that enjoy a good curry, does anyone in the south east ( sorry rest of the country) fancy meeting up for a curry and have a mini zed curry meet, havent got a clue of where or when, as they would need a decent car park, and enough space to fit a few bods in, any views or ideas of where it could be held, or intrest?????? Also in the last week have met 3 other zed owners who did not know about the site, all have details, and drove past a house yesterday that has 3 zeds in his garden, in Worthing. Knocked on the door, but no reply, will pursue…

i was just browsing the board and reading some old threads, etc. its reminded me about a trackday i was going to start years ago (date on the thread was 2003). i did a part rule list at the time: ok. im thinking on this one. the basics (if it goes on) would be: 1. cars must cost max £200 and be legitimately brought. 2.they must have an MOT, no matter how short on the day. 3. they must be "road legal" or at least close enough to pass the track scrutineers (if we have any). 3a. any mods by ripping the car to bits to lighten it are permissable if it isnt structurally derogatory. 4. the fee for the track time will fall to the entrants and/their spe…

That when someone posts up a serious thread requiring assistance there's alway one complete a******h***e who takes the P!ss, and calls you a :xxx: Even though everybody else is really helpful and nice, it make you feel mad and stupid for asking for help in the first place. It just ruins everything. I am really p!ssed off now and very upset, sometimes some people in this club should think about, what they are doing good job I'm not a newbie or I'd think what an unfreindly club if when I ask for help/advice all I get in return is some :xxx: making fun and picking fault and generally being insulting. I'm planning on buying my daughter a cheap runnabout for her 17th birthday this week. I reckon to spend up to £2K. I'm looking for a low insurance, manual that's 5-10yrs old. The models that come to mind are: Punto, Fiesta, Micra, Clio, Pug 106, Polo, Lupo, Corsa... Anyone got any experience of these and are there any that I've missed? Cheers Andy.

  23. ....on the docks next to my office. My office is right by the docks and I'm on the forest product terminal side. You get a lot of lorries delivering and collecting timber and such likes which has been landed by the vessels on the quayside. Anyway, sat here and hear this repetitive banging noise. Was getting fed up with it to be honest. One of the agents from next door decides to raise the alarm, I look out 5 mins later and a load of immigrants are being hauled out of the back of this lorry with loads of port officials and police stood by. This is like 10 metres...literally from my office. Was quite hilarious as this port is a relatively quiet port and is used fo…
