General Discussions - Non 300ZX

I am hoping for clear skys tonight so we can see the Meteor shower due between 10pm and 3am. I have seen plenty of meteors in the night sky as I work mainly nights out doors but tonight its going to be like a firework display. Or so they say on the news? Still looking forward though.

Anyone have a cement mixer they want to sell, or swap for Z parts ? Or even lend me for 6 weeks in exchange for car parts ? Can collect. Thanks Andy

Whoohoo, lads holiday to Bulgaria tomorrow, 35 degree sun, the black sea and 70p a pint here i come :dance: . The Z is safe in the kennels for a week and will be fed and watered daily. See you all in a week!!

Got a new toy to play with :D Picked up my '86 Land Rover Defender 90 yesterday from a nice chap just down the road from me who's part or the owners club. Ex MOD, the chassis and bulkhead are rust free and she's had a lot of work done. The previous owner whipped out the tired old NA diesel engine and replaced it with a newer 2.5l Tdi version with a completely new crate block and internals. She's had an all new rear diff, bushes, DNB clutch, thrust bearings, steering box, shocks, springs and exhaust, brand new wheels and tyres and a replacement turbo that's only done 2,300 miles. Was camping last night on the south downs. We made some bread dough and put it in a dish and left it in the engine bay. PERFECT temperature!!!, Engine statys hot for hours. came back 15 mins later and it had risen perfectly. Wrapped it round a stick and put it over a fire, mmmm

I'm looking at a Celica on ebay and wondered if anyone in the Leominster area would be able to have a look at it for me and give an opinion. The auction finishes tomorrow! I'm not thinking of selling my Zed but I've always liked the 165 (I've owned three so far) and believe it will become a 'classic'. This one's a GT4 Turbo which I know little about as mine were standard GT's. i know sx owners are sometimes after our calipers for big break conversions but do they also want the rear calipers? i wouldnt have thought so as rear breaks arent that important.
