Hope this isnt a repost , but I'll bet this leaves the other tyre manufacturers feeling a bit flat..... :D Radical new tyre design by Michelin. The next generation of tyres. These tyres are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires. This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology: a. no more air valves b. no more air compressors at gas stations c. no more repair kits SCAN DOWN & SEE. These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. It will be awhile befo…

The Misses bought a car off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320221481615&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching She went and picked it up and on arrival was told it’s a write off, there is no V5, it pulls to the right and has rust and other defects. She still buys it as she feels she is under contract through ebay to buy it even though it’s not as described. After getting it home and telling me about it I look over it and also find out the service history given was not for that car either. How do you think we will do in a small claims court to get the money back as it is completely misrepresented in the a…

Most of America populace think it improper to spank children. The other day I was talking to one of my younger buddies about methods used to discipline children. We talked about "time outs", grounding, holding back "rewards" until the child displayed desired behavior etc. One of the things we discussed was the act of spanking and my friend explained that no, he does not spank any of his children. He explained that what he does is to take the misbehaving child out for a ride in the car and talk. He said that usually this works and that the child calms down fairly quickly and really doesn't take too much time. By removing the child, in this case his son, …

I'm speechless really...where will it end? ITN - Tuesday, March 4 05:08 pmPadded lampposts are being trialled in a London street to protect inattentive pedestrians. A pilot scheme has been launched in Brick Lane after it was found to have the highest number of 'walking and texting' injuries in the country. A study carried out by 118 118 found one in ten people has hurt themselves while focused on their mobile phone screen. The charity Living Streets is so concerned that it has teamed up with the directory enquiries service to test a scheme to wrap up the nation's lampposts. A poll will be carried out on Brick Lane to gauge the response of lo…

Got a van off ebay, pretty good nick, very tidy underneath, taxed & tested. only problem was the thrust bearing squealed. Won auction, picked up well chuffed with price. Bit of a pig to get in gear, clutch cable has been well streched, squealed. anyway replaced fan belt (also squeald like mad in morning) and painted bumper :D day after broke down no drive..........time to sort............ new clutch, release bearing, clutch cable. Started this today and the gearbox was only attached to the engine with one almost hand tight bolt, the others were all missing, WTF! Dear me I'm not even that bad. ;)

You thought doing jobs on a zed is hard work!! you should try changing the axle bearings on a 206 :smw: Jesus i would rather pull a zed engine any day of the week, couldnt get the rear arm off, couldnt get the torsion bar out, ended up having to cut the torsion bar out and buying a new one, had to make a big rod to knock the other half of the torsion bar out and when i say knock it out i mean it took a sledge hammer to knock it out, nearly knocked the car off the axle stands  Anyway got the bearings and went to fit them and they sent the wrong ones  finally got the right ones today to fitted them in the arm, fitted everything back together, put…

Just had phone call to hear that my niece Chloe had passed her 11+ and will be going to Plymouth High for Girls in September. She was late being admitted to aim towards getting in that school but caught up with a few extra lessons at home and has come in the top 120 pupils in Plymouth :nana2: Really pleased and proud of her. Actual results are not back yet but needed to be top 120 to get in the school. The school is not far from where I live, and she loves the z, so will pick her up in the z and amaze all her school friends, lol. ;) Well done Chloe

Heya everyone, I'm off to centre parcs now with my mates, i am really excited as we got the executive lodge ^^ whilst it is too expensive for 3 nights (1200 for lodge) between 8 of us its not too bad. got the Z packed and cleaned and polished/waxed and about to leave. I will reply when im back and get some photos too. i might be intouch via the internet as these villas come with a pool/games room and have ps3's in them so i might be able to use that for the forum. I hope everyone has a great weekend and i just hope the sun holds out for me today to get the tops off (although its meant to be raining) catch you all on tuesday. Regards Damien
