I was watching a repeat of chasing classic cars. He sold a Ferrari for I think it was $1.7million, 3 years earlier it was only worth $300,000 & he couldn't sell it at that price. Got me thinking about future classics. So if you had up to £10,000 to invest in a car what would it be? I would probably go for either a Triumph GT6, a mitsubishi Starion or a Mercedes sl.

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a strip of LED's from ebay and accidentally ordered mains voltage ones to start with...... DOH But when they arrived they had:- 1) A euro 2 pin plug with no fuse....... Okay you can use an adapter! 2) A diode rectifier in a plastic box in the middle of the live wire....... The box fell off when picked up exposing all the live mains wiring...... Absolutely lethal.... 3) The connection to the LED strip is 2 metal pins pushed into the rubber sleeve.... These fall out of the sleeving exposing 2 sharp pins that if plugged in would be UNFUSED and LIVE........ I have emailed the fleabay seller and fleabay themselves as these n…

Went to see Lee Evans last night at Bournemouth BIC on his new Monster tour, i have to say even better live, i guess you get the audience atmosphere by being there rather than on the TV, some great new material, just wish we could have been a bit closer, spent most of the night looking at the big screens on the side of the stage, so could have watched at home really, but seeing him live for the first time was well worth it and if you get the chance to see him live, i would highly recommend it

I'd like to wire one into my diesel glowplug system but the problem I have is the 4 glowplugs are powered by 12v to a busbar. Is there any way of connecting an ammeter to the postive side of the circuit? Cheers Vijay

Does this make any sense and could someone make it up for me for a price? The RangeRover has six individual wires from the glowplug controller, one to each plug. Inside the controller each wire connects via a low value resistor to the relay which supplies them with 12V. The controller monitors the voltage drop accross these resistors and therefore detects a fault when one (or more) plugs fail (and therefore the current through the relevant resistor is zero) and flags this as a fault code. You could do something similar I guess. Not a five minute solution but I reckon that it would work to drive LEDs exactly as you want. Something like a 0.05 ohm high p…
