Can't obviously call up BT at the moment for tech assistance, but my broadband has started to do very odd things over the past few days. I had to unplug it the day before yesterday as I needed to add another extension lead. Switched it back on and ever since, it's had a real struggle in download. Then occasionally in disconnects then automatically reconnects. Quite often, it'll just time out and loading pictures is now a complete chore! It's odd that since turning off the modem initially it's just started running as quick...or rather as slow as a 56k would. Any ideas anyone?

Its a Sony cdx 600r, Ive lost the manual and cant remember the sequence to enter the code. I know its not a code as such its just a matter of pressing keys on the remote control unit that comes with it. Any one know the correct sequence ( tried the sony site but it dosnt list the player)

...........................Possibly! A friend of mine who happens to be a car dealer invited me to drive his latest bit of kit for sale. And I must say, I loved every second of it - it's a Merc SLK 55 AMG and it's awesome!! Lovely V8 power and noise - superb acceleration and road holding and absolutely amazing brakes; yet so civilized. I think I could happily have one as a daily driver  Now how can I convince Julia that I really need one........... Richard:D

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Gurkha-soldiers/sign Above is the link to do the right thing. In a time when this country seems to of lost its way, these men fight and die by our side, for our causes with honor. We as British Citizens need to stand up for the people as unlike many of the other free loaders who wish to come to the UK, these honorable men have earned the right. Do the right thing, get on their and put your name down the way the government treats these people brings shame on us all.

After 10 years in a non IT job I am looking to move to a career in IT. My aim is to eventually work in the security field, but know this is years away. I had started reading through a compTIA A+ book by Mike Meyers, as research told me that this is the place to start. My girlfriend has done a OU degree and reckons I should consider this route as she thinks this may be a good way to start. What are people's views on degrees vs certs as a route into IT for someone with no work experience? Is there anyone working in IT who could share some helpful advice please. Thanks in advance, Ant

Hi guys and gals, I'm looking for some help as our only car broke down last night and had to be towed home. :headvswal It's a 2004 Almera Tino 2.2 diesel (yuk!) with a hydraulic clutch system. The pedal feels fine on the way down, but it stays on the floor and I can't engage any gears. If I pull the pedal a little it then raises again. The fluid in the reservoir is about halfway between min and max, and I can't see any fluid leaks (but that doesn't mean it's not leaking, I just can't see it). We are skint at the moment so it's anything I can sort myself I'll give it a go! Any advice/guidance will be greatly appreciated :)

As title says:mad::rant::rant: 'Thanks' to our estate agent we have just lost a house we wanted to buy that ticked every box! We were doing part ex on our place for another and I expected an offer below market value but when it came in it was insulting to say the least and was pi@@ed off, well finally got to the bottom of it today. We had the developers valuer out and all went well, found out the value they gave was viable but our agent.... They did a valuation without looking at the property which we said we weren't happy with as we have done a load of work and due to staff changes no one at the branch has actually seen it. The agent said it would be …
