British Indy car driver, Justin Wilson has unfortunately died from his injuries, sustained when he was hit by flying debris during a race. Another driver gone too soon, my thoughts are with his family.

Google maps are giving me three routes to take from Birkenhead to Newark on trent. So is the M62 my best route? Plus is anyone else going this way on Saturday morning? https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Birkenhead,+Merseyside,+UK/Newark-on-Trent,+Nottinghamshire,+UK/data=!4m8!4m7!1m2!1m1!1s0x487b2645d09cf51f:0x9ab8a8c59c2eb14a!1m2!1m1!1s0x487834455e4590d7:0x2fa6a5583441f3c3!3e0

I ordered this adaptor - so could install a USB port in the Zed, connected to my head unit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391206888063?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT As a bonus, it also has the "aux in" input - which is good, as on my head unit, the socket is at the back. Result! Until it arrived and came fitted with 3 phono jacks; as opposed to the single jack in the picture. I contacted the seller and he just said "you can return it at your cost for a refund!" I pointed out again, that he sent an item different to that in his picture - to which the cheeky fooker replied "I ordered the wrong item because I lack common sense" and sti…

Has anyone ever tiled their garage floor? I'm not talking about those interlocking plastic things, I'm talking about ceramic floor tiles. Not quite like this, but similar: It's an integrated garage, so the aim is also to cement-plaster the walls and paint all that too. There's bugger all on the market in the UK and it just seems to be flooded with those interlocking plastic ones which I really don't like. Would laying a screed and then placing floor tiles on top give it the best chance? The anti-slip ceramic tiles that I see cost an absolute fortune - just wondering if there are any other options?

So for anyone running windows 7/8/8.1 you get a free upgrade. For those who are scared to make the leap I've been running the full released version at home and work for over 3 weeks now and its perfectly stable and a great improvement over its predecessors. I'm currently working out a plan to upgrade over 70 pc's at my work. And for those who think that they will just wait for the 10.1 or SP1 release don't bother as due to the way Microsoft are now running the show the system is now designed to get od updates on the fly so new features get released and pushed directly to your system. Personally as a tech head I love it and think anyone who wants …

So as some of you are aware, I need an engine for my daily driver I rang around a few car breakers and found a few places with the correct engine but a lot of them were high milers or Mental money. I found a guy up in Newry, Northern Ireland who informed me that he had an engine out of a 2010 with 90k Km's (50k miles), the deal was he wanted £1200 stg plus a €400 deposit to get his engine and exchange my old one, he insisted that he needed stg. This cost me €1759 plus the €400 refundable deposit, I asked him on numerous occasions that it was a 2010 engine with 90kms. He assured me on each occasion that it was. I drove 3 hrs to his place to find a manky engine with th…

I have a seagate ST320LT007 - 9ZV142 hard drive from a Dell laptop. The Laptop was locked so the the drive was replaced. I bought a 2.5" USB external case so I could mount the drive, which I thought I could just connected to my PC and format it. The problem I have is it is recognized in device mangager, but I cannot access it even though it shows up in computer/disk management. Any ideas or is the drived destined for the bin? Cheers Vijay

As above - My dad's Almera needs a new timing chain and the garage are looking at charging him over £600 for the privilege. I think it's something I could do a damn sight cheaper than that. I've done my zeds timing and as you know that's a quad cam v6, so my thinking is that a duel cam 4 pot should be a lot easier to do. Is there anything I need to be aware of etc...? I've only got the Haynes manual to follow so any advice or tips would be great. Almera is a 1.5s (think it's an N15 model)

...Anyone tried and had success with this? My exhaust could use a nice polishing up and someone at work told me WD40 along with a scotch brite pad would do the trick. So any experience with this or other suggestions would be welcomed :) Cheers

Hi All, Been a while since I've been on here but just wanted to ask a quick question, I've still got the zed, its parked in a garage somewhere and has been for the last 5ish years so I'm going to sell it on. gonna stick it on E bay and see how i go, but its been that long since I've even thought about the car I'm struggling to remember all the things i added to it while i owned it and also what aftermarket parts it had before i even bought the car. From what i can remember the most comprehensive list i had was on my profile on this site with a load of images of the car but these seem to have gone now. the site does look quite different so maybe this…
