As above... ....anyone been today or going tomorrow? I love history so we're off to Kelmarsh Hall tomorrow for a gander. We went a couple of years ago and it was a pretty good day out. Richard:chef:

  3. We're looking to get some work done on our new Land Rover Defender and are in need of suggestions for companies to carry it out: soundproofing, a full retrim and fitting a much better alarm (it's more than a wee bit frustrating as stuff like laying soundproofing is something I would've taken on myself a couple of years back but now my Crohns has got worse it's a bit too much for me to take on unfortunately :( ). After searching through the Landrover forums it seems that a lot of 4x4 companies who make Defender products do also sell "sound proofing" however, in a lot of cases, it's not much better than glorified carpet. Like a lot of people in the Jap car community we…

Can't break the Rules, Guv, it's more then me job's worth. ******************************* Good news: It was a normal day in Sharon Springs , KS when a Union Pacific crew boarded a loaded coal train for the long trek to Salina. The Bad news: Just a few miles into the trip a wheel bearing became overheated and melted, letting a metal support drop down and grind on the rail, creating white hot molten metal droppings spewing down to the rail. The Good news: A very alert crew noticed smoke about halfway back in the train and immediately stopped the train in compliance with the rules. The Bad news: The train stopped with the hot whee…

Whilst I've seen the mighty Bugatti Veyron in the flesh at at least 3 cars shows; I've never seen one on the road.... .....Until Sunday - a silver one passed me on the A404 near Marlow!!! Awesome road presence and a sound to die for..... And then today a white Lexus LFA thingy (or whatever it's called) passed me on the M40 this afternoon!! Who'd have thought it? Richard:rockon:

Evenin' all. Just thought I'd pop my head round and introduce you to our new motor...for once, it's not a 300zx (we already own 3 so one more and I may of had to get myself committed...;))...it's a Defender! This was our old 90 which we loved to bits: Unfortunately we had to sell as, at the time, I was put on a brand new drug treatment for my Crohn's which looked like it was going to cost an arm and a leg and there was a major worry that the NHS wouldn't help us out with it, so we ended up having to part ways ready to put the money aside for the meds. Luckily that eventually all sorted itself out and recently, after a few sh1tty years with one thing a…

But under this is an Alfa 164. It may just be because I'm an Alfa fan, but I think with a bit of finishing and a decent paint job it will look awesome!! It looks weird from some angles, but a total one-off. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3litre-mid-engine-2seater-Alfa-164-Unfinished-projet-/160455884198?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item255bea7da6 If I had the money I think I'd want to be buying it I'm afraid! Some people may not understand this unless you are a dog person but I don't care. 12 years ago I rescued Cassie a lab cross dog from a guy who used to beat her, she was scared of men when I 1st had her. She became a very loving well behaved companion and has been through alot with me, good times and bad, my illness and divorce, my son being born and me getting remarried. One of the reasons we moved to the country 3 months ago was so our 3 dogs could have a better life. They are all part of the family and sleep in our bedroom and sometimes jump up on the bed to. Last night she was fine, played with the hose pipe as usual, came round the bedside to say goodnight. I got…

One of my friends called me frantically saying they needed £60 as a matter of life and death. They gave me some crappy excuse about why they needed it but im sure its for drugs so I refused to help (again always £60 and I never got the last £60 back). What do you think it is at £60 a pop? I had something similar happen to me before from an old school friend and he was a Heroin addict. No matter how often he said he was clean I knew that whenever he wanted money it was for his dealers. It was very destressing and I know that you dont dont help people when they are in this situation and you give them money.

I like a really broad spectrum of music from rock, to jazz, to funky drum n bass, but this has to be my number one driving tune. Infact there are quite a few 80s era tunes that I love listening to in the car. This decade produced some of the greatest tunes ever IMO. What's your favourite driving tune? Second place.

As title suggests, i think he took the "im in no hurry" too literally. Its been there almost a year now, its meant to get a full re-spray and repair to rear quarter. Oh well, I dont suppose it devalues any more, infact the r33 can only go up in price now surley?
