I have just had my insurance renewal through and thought I would do a bit of shopping around. My existing insurer, Direct Line, would not cover me for theft on my TT and were looking for £471 fully comp for the year. Amazingly The Post Office (on-line) came up as the most competitive overall at £368. This was fully comp including theft cover, business use, windscreen cover (only £75 excess), named driver, courtesy car and only a £250 main policy excess. If your insurance is due, then the Post Office could be for you!

Hi, Just called lynbrooks and got a very fit sounding lady on the end of the phone but apparently they don't deal with the insurance direct and I have to go with a broker but she couldn't provide me with one!! So how the did you go about getting a quote from them? Just rang Carole Nash and they won't touch me as I'm under 30. Renewal from admiral is £780.00 but I'm sure I can do better with classic car insurance? Thanks, Tom

I have my old saxo sat on the drive and i need to shift it, but at the moment the car has no tax and is not insured. Is it legal to tow the car on a solid towing bar without tax and insurance? It needs to be towed about 5-10miles to a friends lock-up. Any advice and help would be greatfully recieved, i'm desperate to move it so i can get it fixed and sold.

Since owning my Zed i think i've become slightly obsessed. I should be in Ibiza now, just getting home from a massive night out(was going to go yesterday). Instead i'm off to work another weekend to earn coinage to spend on my slicktop. I reckon i must be mad, what do you think?

Hi All, I have recently purchased a lead to connect my laptop to my TV. It has a HDMI lead one end and a female multi-pin connector the other end. This end is like a square block with tiny slots in as opposed to a pin connector. The problem is I can see any pictures that are on my computer on the TV but it will not transmit sound. Anyone had any experience with these and maybe knows of a setting that I need to activate?. Cheers.

Anyone had a letter from the independant car park lot called Parking eye? I overstayed my welcome in a industrial car park that they had signs up in. Did a search on google and came up with money saving expert forum where everyone says not to pay it as they will never take action and it is just a mere scam.

Harper Collins want to publish the Stigs biography - effectively unmasking him. Topgear chiefs are fighting it in court. Bloody cheek if you ask me - all for a bit of profit:angry: http://www.themitchelli.com/2010/08/save-the-stig/
