.....daily drive that is!! I had (tentatively) been thinking about a new daily driver recently; and after a hectic week I took a peek at MB's "approved used" 'site yesterday. And by chance I found the one for me!! Palladium silver; 3.5 litres and 305bhp; 0-62 in 5.4 secs.... ...plus every conceivable extra including COMMAND multi-media with navigation/CD changer/DAB radio; heated nappa leather; bi-xenons; 7-speed tip with paddle-shift and the AMG sport suspension/wheel pack:drool: Plus I got 2 years free servicing, 6 months tax and an extended warranty for when the manufacturers one expires! It's miles away from me though; however a quick cal…

Are engine lifts ok on unlevel ground? I know its not ideal. Using a trolley jack its a little scary on the slope I have as two wheels lift on the jack. As an engine lift is alot heavier are they ok on a small slope? Heres a pic of my unlevel bit you can see the incline from the way the tent frame is.

Well, in the past week I finally purchased a car I have craved for a while, a 996 911. I haven't posted on here for a long time, but I still lurk around reading posts. My point in posting was to just say that I shall be raising a glass this evening to....................................... the Z32. Yes that is right! When I sat in the car and drove it, do you know what the first thing was that came into my head? "This feels just like the Z!" and I grinned ear to ear. The 911, feels to me, almost identical to the way my old Z drove, it even smells the same lol. The seats are very similar, the handling is very similar, the steering, the power, the gear box, pretty much…

Is it just me or do they all just have a random number generator to give quotes?! Thought Flux were supposed to me specialists in imported/modded/fast cars - quoted me THREE TIMES what More Than quoted me via confused.com. FFS!! I'm am as old as god and have been driving yonks, and yes Marc is a lot younger and not as much driving experience but neither of us has ever claimed/got any points etc. Cannot see where they get these figures from! Best quote so far fully comp is £611 which is a bit eye watering but better than almost £2k which most of these rip off merchants want to charge! :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:

I really wanted some wheels off ebay, but they were over 350 miles away and the seller wouldn't allow me to send a courier :saddam: So in steps Dan, goes to collect them for me and allowed me to arrange a courier to collect the wheels from his place. Without you Dan I wouldn't have had a chance in hell of getting them, so thank you VERY MUCH!!!  :flowers: I'm sure you'll agree that is the perfect example of what this club is all about. :thumbup1: oh and BTW here's the wheels :shuriken: cant fit them properly until my 4.5" lift kit arrives :sweatdrop:

My mrs has just bought a new Horse in Newmarket and she needs to collect it on Tuesday and get it back to Southampton. We have a 7.5 Ton horsebox Iveco Eurocargo that she drives but she needs someone to share the driving with her who is used to driving 7.5 Ton stuff. Happy to pay say £100 to come along and split the driving, its about 150 miles each way so probably take 5-6 hrs to do. I have to work :cursing: anyhows long shot but thought I would just ask as there might be an out of work driver around.
