Well, a long story, but has happened really fast! Some of you may know, that im a big BMW fan (M3's mainly). Last year i had an E36 M3 Evo Converible I sold it due to 1. It not being used much, and 2. I spent so much money on it i had nothing in the bank! I decided to sell, and £5500 parked on the drive was a but pointless. I didn't advertise it, but replyed to a wanted ad on the BMW forum i use. A deal was done and the car went around the end of the summer. With the money i had, i decided to buy a 328i sport, and a 300zx and put the engine in the BMW. Joining here, i decided it was a waste of time putting the engine in, so sold the 32…

Some would say that I only ever 'turn up' at work, rather than actually do any! ;) Well this footage was taken by me, whilst I was driving one of our test trains last year. No I wasn't holding the camera, it was on a steady mount on the opposite side of the cab. Anyway, two clips (one Northbound, one Southbound), at 10 minutes long each. The Northbound one reaches 100mph at about 5:40 into the clip and reaches 97mph at around 5:10 in the Southbound clip before having to brake down to 90mph for the curve. I hope you find it as fascinating as other people who I've shown it to, as it's surprised them into what actually happens while you drive a train at speed. …

:cursing: I am replacing an old summer house that has virtually fallen down. Because my place is listed it costs me far more money to do this than my neighbours either side who can do whatever they want in their own gardens. So i spend 3K having plans done by an arcietect and planning consultant (50% of the cost of the replacement structure). And one of my neighbours decides to object on the grounds that it will be used as Gym. He has stated that as it is to be used as an office and gym that "I might play music out there" so wants it soundproofed as its a log cabin. Its like 300ft away from the tossers house! WTF its not like i live in a terrace or something. …

I am now totally going LED crazy :tongue_smilie: Not content with putting these all over in my car, I had the bright idea of lighting up the plinths in the kitchen Having had some new wood flooring put down and the old plinths thrown away I could then wire in these clear flexible LED's. If you want to have a go for very little money get one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12V-2A-POWER-ADAPTER-SUPPLY-AQUARIUM-LED-STRIP-LIGHT-UK-/160513698304?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item255f5caa00 Simple on/off switch that I have just inside a cupboard http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150503383634 Then 3 of these in my case giving 36…

Looking for a workhorse type thing to get me back and forward to work. My last job, which they shut down and made us all redundant was a 10 mile a day trip. As I use my Dodge Ram as my daily, 5.7ltr Hemi it wasnt that bad. A gallon a day took care of the work run ! However, start a new job next Monday and its a 65 mile round trip !! Do the maths !:crying: Looking for a cheapo runaround, but would need a kinda medium type size car, ie, Vectra, Mondeo etc. Had a few Vectras, but never a diesel. Any recommendations ?? Heres the tricky bit ! Budget is limited ! Can stretch to £2000, maybe a few quid more if its a good un. Fire away troops.…
