  3. Hi Guys, just before I take my van back to merc and get stung for £70+ per hour, have you any ideas what the probelm is, plz Van is a 54 plate Merc Vito, it starts 1st time everytime and runs like a dream, but intermittently it just looses revs whenever it fancies, I can be driving at 30 and it just cuts out , all electrics stay on and engine doesnt stall, its like a rev limiter kicking in? Last week down the m6 it just lost revs and I had to drive home at about 15 mph, it then just decides to kick in again then off she goes, sometimes several times a minite, It has an electronic key and that sometimes get dust inside and the van wont start, once cleaned out its fine…

  5. Hi all, Has anyone driven to Switzerland (e.g. Geneva or Zurich) in late December? What was it like? Is it possible or does the weather make it a no-no? Also, has anyone driven in Switzerland in December? We are thinking of going there but I am not sure whether to: a) fly there and use trains; b) fly there and hire a car; c) drive there and use the car everywhere. Using trains seems sensible except with 2 kids and lots of luggage, cars seem far more convenient. Any advice much appreciated.

  6. I found this & reckoned it would be useful for peeps thinking of a colour change. Also good to reference if you like a particular standard paint, but don't know the colours name. If someone wants to move it to the links section or something, feel free. http://gtcarlot.com/colors/

:gun_bandana: i renewed my contract early this year, and got a nice shiny new motorola defy. the one advertised at the bullet and bomb proof water proof all singing all dancing smart phone. after two weeks its broke, the speaker shit the bed. not impressive for something billed as indestructable. anyways i called vodafone explained how i wasnt impressed to be further unimpressed, by the response youve had the phone over 7 days and because of that you cannot change it, we can fix it via your insurance, which will cost you £20. and will take 5 to 7 working days. i wasnt very happy and expalined my frustration, i was then told to go into my local store who would simply s…

  10. Was jacking the zed up onto ramps on all corners, I did the front and had the back lowereing down on to the ramps and the bloody thing rolled of the ramps straight into me :scared: I manged to catch it with my side and stop it rolling any further as it was in danger of going straight into my garage taking me with it. Don't have a clue how it happened as it was solid and heading for a perfect landing on the ramps when it suddenly lurched backwards on to me. Anyway, turns out I was lucky and the jack hadn't slipped but had rolled backwards with the car. The only damage was a bit of a kink in the bottom of the sill joins at the back, caused by wedging on top of t…

  13. Hi all, it's been a fair old while since I've posted on here but it's nice to be back! After a quick skim through the new posts it's great to see that I still recognise some of the names as well! :) Although I haven't been around for ages Lucie and I are still "Zedding" and despite having to sell the VH45DE project ( :( ) we still have our LWB NA...not to mention a LWB NA rolling shell taking up most of the garage! ;) For those that don't know me, aside from a love of 300zx's I have Crohn's and also have my own band, an Alt-Electro-Rock 5 piece called "This Burning Age", both of which have been taking over my life, in good and bad ways, for the last couple of years. …

Anyone suffer broadband issue`s today in central midlands? we did around midday, we lost broadband connection which also lost us one of our incoming lines as its a voice over IP line. By the time we realised it and called BT they were NOT answering calls, we tried 5 different business lcontact numbers of which two are part of our business quick response package...no answer, eventually on one line after waiting for 25 minutes to become calller number one we was informed a major fault had developed and the engineers were trying to fix it and it had coverered a large area. Left at 5.30pm and still not on!! Jeff TT

If ever your feel sore at Nissan main dealer prices try a Bmw main dealer and Nissan seem really fair, the little fellow below is an ABS module it controls of course the abs the dsc ( direct stability control ) the active steering and the traction control. Unfortunately this failed on my 540i recently and whilst I could drive the car still the faults lights on the dash not only bugged me but remind you that all the driver aids mentioned above are not available. So the first option was to try a company who specialise in repairing these units, sadly no go as it was not repairable! so a call to BMW and the good news its in stock BUT the eye water cost was £970 + v…

There`s a car on my street left by police with a broken side window and a note on it that says .... we found this car like that and don`t know where the owners are ... and it`s there like for 6 weeks now and it`s not recorded as stolen... so the question is :) is it worth to apply for a log book ? :)
