What a fooking great day ive had. Get last call of the day to a blocked sink. Turn up, and yep its blocked, try clearing, but no good, ask tenant if toilet is ok, replies all good.check the manhole cover and all appears good. Next step is to cut the pipe under the kitchen cupboards to get access to the straight run of pipe in order to use drain rods, start cutting the pipe and yep the sound you dont want to hear, gurgling and bubbling in the pipe. then BANG, the upstairs toilet, and about 4 mtrs of blocked soil pipe, find a new route not to the sewer as before, but lets go to the kitchen and play there. You name it, it came out of the pipe and discharged into the k…

Mars rover Spirit spent five years, three months and 27 days on a mission of discovery across the planet before getting helplessly trapped in soil. Now, the spacecraft's long journey has been compiled in a fascinating time-lapse video using almost 3,500 different images taken by her front-right camera. Viewers are given an overview of her mission from the moment she woke up in January 2004 to her demise in April 2009 - all in under three minutes at 24 frames per second. Might have to sell the zeds... need room for the new arrivals! They've just arrived but by the time I got them all parked up on the drive it was dark so only got one picture from earlier. And now my camera is broke so cant get any more until I fix it. What do you think to them?

I'm proud to announce that we're expecting our first baby at the end of april, 3 weeks until our second scan when we find out what we are having and we are both really excited! Emma hasn't been too well on and off and we spent all day in hospital last week but everything is looking fine now and I've even gone sensible and bought an 05 plate diesel! however we still have 2 zeds a golf gti and the V8 range rover lol, best thin out the collection a little :thumbup1:

We just got a text from our 6 yr old son's school announcing that he is in the school nativity play as the inn keeper. This is the first we have heard about a play at all but that's ok. His grandma takes him to school and back, has him (willingly and wantingly) in French lessons etc after school and I'm really pleased. What the text said was "Michael is an Inn keeper in the play, please provide a costume to the school by the 1st Dec". I think YAYE :D, got a costume to make, since the last one I made was a massive red pepper/capsicum lol :), but hang on... The next breath, your going to tell me I cant video or take photos of my own son in the play, in a cos…

Was reading a few comments on the BBC site today about this - interested to see where our well balanced membership sit on this issue. My personal viewpoint is: I smoke, I smoke in my car and you'll have to kill me if you want me to stop. I'm more than able to smoke and drive at the same time too (although it does get difficult to hold my can of beer at the same time:laugh:). Seems to me like there is a solid argument for banning smoking in cars with youngsters - I couldn't agree more. I choose to smoke, but I try my best not to impose on others, certainly not vulnerable children. But a blanket ban on smoking in cars? Yeah, good luck with that one. If the go…

I never thought I would say this, and I do mean never, but Rose has watched a couple of episodes lately for a laugh and to be honest it occurred to me last night, that perhaps everyone should watch it. Not because it's a good show though you understand, but because it makes you feel immeasurably better about your own life. If you have any problems or worries, having a little spat with the missus? Jeremy Kyles show will make you feel so much better about your own life, you'll just forget all about them.
