Why is it I never see any zeds newer than about 95? I have once seen a purple 1996 (I think) on the Autotrader site. Loads of people have 99 spec bumpers, but why do you never see cars up for import this age? Are they still hanging onto them in Japan? The importer who had mine said he used to have a Version R. But I have never seen a later one in the flesh. You see loads of Skylines atc that are newer, but never a zed. I would have thought they would have been SOMEWHERE. Did they just not sell enough of them in later years?

Well Warranty holdings have once again come up with the goods:) As my Zed was having the two small water hoses replaced, the mechanic noticed a slight leak from the water pump. Since he had the front of the engine apart he decided it better to replace the pump now. I got him to call Warranty holdings, who agreed to pay for the pump and labour costs (they won't cover the hoses though but they only cost £10 so I don't care:D ) They also agreed to replace the oil pressure sender unit, result coz they are £80 + vat from Nissan UK:D :D So they are stumping up £350-ish+vat So far, cost of warranty was £375 fot 15 months, cost of repairs claimed for, over £…

http://members.cox.net/impunity/endofworld.swf Quick explanation of where we are now. Incidentally according to Horizon last night the climate is going to freeze up so dont waste money on big ICs. Also according to next Thursdays Horizon some maths fundi bod has found a secret code in the good book that says the world will end in 3 years. So you know when to over borrow for all those mods you could never afford!

Morning, hope you all slept well, I didnt as my cheapo-new-house-water-meter busted itself open last night and sprayed torrents of mains pressured water all over my fecking house  :( The water leak was before the vavve so there was nothing we could do until the water board sent a bloke out to clamp the piping further back. By that time half of my downstairs was under an inch of water! :( We've just had new flooring laid in the kitchen and hall, and new cupboards arrived this week (5 months to order!) for a different leak which we claimed on our house insurance for. They haven't even finished repairing that one  Now the kitchen floor, hall la…

Got my 300zx TT 2 seater on Saturday been attracting a lot of attention from people in the street as it's the only one in my local town (as it has a throaty roar and dump valves of course)... ...tonight, was working late at my friend's shop, pulled away from the side of the road, looked in the mirror, police astra behind me...follows me about for 5 mins, then pulls me over... ...two (very polite) policemen then proceeded to ask me all sorts of questions about the car (including "off the record how fast is it" - like I'm going to answer that!) Of course, having only been registered through the SVA etc on Fri, the police computer has no record of the car or p…

Finished training tonight and whilst on the way home on the A38(dual lane carriadge way) 2 trucks stayed side by side for about 2 miles. It wasn't a steep hill and they were doing about 60-65. I tried flashing my lights but nothing. Anyone else have any suggestions, other than strapping a couple of rocket lauchers to my car!

Its not my Z that is the victim here, but my daily run around which I take just as much care of as my Z. Nice little red Corsa which saves me loads on fuel and believe it or not insurance too. It is in good condition but thanks to other w***kers its took a turn to the worse.! A week ago I get I notice my front bumper was hanging off slightly where some one had hit it. Hot hard. It didnt dent anything but it was hard enough to snap the clip which holds the bumper on. So now its hanging off on one side and looks a mess. 6 days ago I returned to my car in the works carpark to find the door unlocked and when I sat in the car, the seat was right back and the hor…

There's been lots of "driving an NA versus driving a TT" and/or manual v auto discussion recently, so I think the time has come to pull it all together into a document... and I feel all remotivated now I'm back on the road. (Bit worried about my shocks though - anyone used the A616 / A628? Twitchy is not the word!) Is the original spreadsheet from the RR day hanging around? I want to see if I can work out whether various mods move torque / peak power left and/or right. Can someone, or better still several people, donate scans of their dyno charts so I can write a section on "when to change gear." Be good if there was more than one volunteer so I can demonstrate…

please see post in For Sale section http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25018 The D/S 's are from ACPT, and you can see this thread for advantages / disadvantages of 1 piece drive shafts http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24683 . It's quite expensive, so it'll be interesting to see what interest is generated.
