Hi Peeps, A couple of times a year the 200sx club arrange a top speed challenge, which measure 1/4 mile times and top speed. In the past many Supras have turned up to this event, so this is an excellent opportunity for us all to kick some ass. Here's the link, but you might need to register on the board.http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67222 Last year I was the only Zed, and I blew it up :( , but beat a few cars, so it wasn't in vein. It would be nice this year to be amongst some more zeds, and of course not blow mine up

Please read the following information carefully. Under no circumstances should you press "9". I swapped my 1mm boost jets to 0.8mm last night ;) Jeeeeeeeez it flies now!! What a rush!  I had gotten used to 12.5psi and this is like having a new, much faster car!!! The boost gauge showed a peak of exactly 15psi. It was 8-10*C outside, no detting in any gear/speed so I'll keep them in and see what its like when the weather warms up :) Cheers to Cos for the idea of cutting the hoses and using 2 jubilee clips to hold onto each end of the jets  :D:D:D Pete

Hi All, Just got back from my RR day with the nice SXOC boys up at SCA in Norwich. I thought I would run the car again to get a second opinion of it's output, so I would have something to compare against from the SE/Nisstek RR day. Although many variables come into play, the results are quite interesting, even more so as my zed detted it nuts off at the top end. (Note to self: Get on the phone to Pete on Monday and shout a lot!!) Graph from SE/Nisstek RR Day. Graph from SXOC RR Day.

Sent chris @ greddy a cheque Thursday and had my Apexi induction delivered this morning, Decided to take the car out for a run on the Gtech, it recorded rear wheel HP @ 207, 212 and 219 Took 2 hours to fit the induction, mainly due to the two bolts holding on the airbox that are fooking nearly impossible to take off, managed to get one off in 20 minutes and the second off in about 15 hehe :) Thanks to SMW1 for the counseling over the phone when I tried to stick the thing back in and had a "o fook its not going to fit and ive wrecked the old airbox moment". Its not really a massive thing but its the first work i've carried out on the zed on my own …

Why? Was getting some good feedback from the members. Quote by andyduff "Why run different sized jets? They've gotta be the same size. When you fit adjustable actuators its very important they are both set up equally using a compressor. The basic effect will be slower spool up. Remember its a x-flow engine so the left turbo boosts the right bank and vice versa. Its very difficult to explain but basically the car will hit target boost on the larger jetted turbo, then slowly reach target boost on the smaller jetted turbo. Despite the wastegate being fully open on the larger jetted turbo, it should still boost past target boost due to being fed by the other turbo. I …

I'd put the fookers on the wrong sides.........LMAO!! They are grooved ones and I had them on the wrong sides, didn't notice until I just looked at the finished job, and then the penny dropped....... Mental note: Do not fit anything that is handed after a night on the beer........:slap: Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow!! Okay, let the mickey taking commence............. Matty. *edit due to me not mentioning it was the discs! - cheers Jez.

What happened about that? Has it happened? Did I miss it?! There was a lot of people who voted in favour... then it all seemed to go quiet. Geoff - got any idea? Can't remember who it was talking about doing it, but I think you vouched for him.

After reading Rypins post - may God bless him - I am rather incensed that such a lengthy post on Creation V Evolution should appear on a CAR FORUM - where are the moderators when you need them? The subject was put into 3 posts and I feel that is OTT. The Discussion part of the forum is I suppose open to anything, but is there some limitations that we should have? I am a relgious follower but don't use this forum to promote my beliefs. Only fundamentalists would hijack any platform to promote their beliefs. So how do we stop this happening within the confines of a forum which is democratic and fair??? So what do we do? Am I the only person who thinks lik…

Just another update. These pics are alot better quality. The arches have been fitted on properly now the rear bumper has been fitted but needs alot more work done to it. The front bumper is being prepared and being modified here and there so its got alot more work still to be done to it. It seems to get longer and longer. K didnt get much done this week due to max power live so its slightly delayed now. Hes gonna work all week flat out to get as much as possible done on the car. Next week should have some more better pics. Hopefully the vent will be done which i really wanna see in the flesh as its something thats never been fitted to a zed b4. Fas

Just picked my car up from SE and thought I would post up my thoughts on dealing with SE. The car was booked in last Saturday for replacement turbo's to be fitted , after chatting with Bob he assured me that the car would be ready by the time I came back to pick the car up today. Arrived today to find the car in the workshop with the hood up , all the work had been completed but Pete was just not happy with the set up on the car , Pete then spent another two hours fiddling and then test driving the car until he was 100% happy with the way it was running , including setting up the boost controller. Was I happy with the service I received , HELL YES the car i…

HI all, Another couple of jobs done on the Zed today. Was going to look at my balance bar when I noticed that I had more meat on my credit card than on my rear brake pads. So a quick call followed shortly by a trip to SE Nisstek to get some replacement pads (yes I was there for only 20 mins shock!!). Bumped into "Mr Baggins" who was there having his car fiddled with so said hello. Had a bit of a result as I needed to do an oil change and been wondering how to get the car up high enough to do it. So when I jacked the car up at the back, there was enough room for me to squeez in under the car and do the oil and filter at the same time. (Just as well I did thi…

Why is it when ever you get a decent race on your hands something always goes wrong on your car. Bloomin connector on 1 spark plug keeps popping off and end up running on 5. This time was up for it with a Evo7, couple of weeks ago nice Supra. Must fix this little problem at weekend as sure could have taken them both.
