AKA scamera vans. Wondered what opinions you have of them? They dont get targeted by anti camera groups like the fixed gatso's do. I think we're gonna be seeing more and more of them , especially on dual carriageways where they rake in a mint from a high turnover of traffic. IMO the vans are the lowest of the low, you never know where they're going to be 'keeping an eye on your safety' what a joke, only it aint funny. What is their so called purpose? To promote road safety and prevent accidents? So what do they do - they prosecute on a mass scale average drivers traveling slightly over the speed limit but in the majority 100% safely, and worse they totaly i…

But not for speeding...... I picked up my Zed on the back of a trailer at the weekend, Driving down the M6, and the trailer had the detachable steel ramps, one of the securing bolts must have loosened due to vibration and a ramp fell off (flat & about 2-3ft long with rolled edges) Being conscientious & concerned for others peoples safety, I immediatley pull off at the next off ramp and give the police a call. They tell me to wait and a car will try and recover it. I wait for an hour or so with 3 severly bored & tired kids at 10pm. Police turn up and inform me that it's not their job to recover the ramp, it'll be done by the motoway ppl & I …

Well I'm not entiely happy with it, but they say that you are your own worse critic.......... errrrmmmmmmmm we'll see. Have sent Luke an e-mail to quote me for a FULL leather re-trim, but I'm deffo having the seats done anyway. Comments please, constructive ones would be nice but I know that I'll get some non-constructive ones as well :slap: So I know the following...... The grass wants cutting, my patio chairs have fallen over, the carpets want cleaning and I've got a pack of POLO in the dash :D They are a little big, hence as attachments o…

Having had a real blast on a track I'm of a mind to get the engine rebuilt to make sure that I don't get any nasty surprises. So........ Standard spec rebuild ? How much ? Who could do this ? Up-grade spec ? Same questions....... Is it worth replacing the turbos if I do this ? They are getting on a bit I suppose :D I'm planning to up-grade the suspension and brakes anyway. What else ? Clutch ? I know a lot of this is 'how long is a piece of string stuff' so I should mention that I haven't won the lottery or anything. As always, all comments are gratefully received. Mark

Z goes in for the dent/respray back quarter tomorrow- I hope it turns out OK. I looked round and thought XL in coventry SEEMED very professional. PLEASE someone tell me they are good. It has to have the dent reshaped and the quarter panel sprayed, and the bumper repainted. Will it look OK when it comes back to me? The guy assured me it will look as good as when it was undamaged. What do they actually do to strip the old paint back? or do they just spray after priming it or something? On the estimate it said 'prepare and paint'. Do I have to be careful with the paintwork for a while after (like no pressure washer, or even washing it)?

Finally, got my car sorted. 3 Months off breaking down with an intermittant fault. The fuel temp sensor was a red herring causing thrown in. This was bypassed, and in the end it turned out to be the AFM. As it was slowly breaking down and not faulty it would still rev above 2500rpm. I replaced afm with one I got from Jeff and car now runs beautifully. Many thanks to all those who helped. 3 names really stick out - AndyDuff, John Dixon and Lymon Thanks again :p

My weekend has been rather a bit hectic and tiring. Had to get the Zed ready for transporting all the way to Preston to Duffer's place. Got up on Saturday morning and headed towards East London and started adjusting the suspension which took me loads of time whilst at the same time removing my rear spacers. The suspension was really hard as you dont have much space to turn the c spanner as its a bit akward, my arm was killing me by the end of it!!! After getting that done i tried F U C King up the PTU but couldint get the damn Boost pipe off (my inexperience shows here) a quick call to Stuart (SMW1) who may i say was a great help, and i asked him if he coul…

I thought I'd post up some pictures as I know how you guys like pictures  I removed the dial cluster from the car Fitted Chrome Dial rings (available from Danny - DTA Motorsport) I then fitted the Dials which were supplied by Vijay Fitted it all back into the car and tested out the colour changes and dimmer. The only problem I had was getting the the needle of the two large dials though the small circle of the new dial face. Also, yes, I did adjust my fuel needle, because it has always been reading a quarter of a tank low since I fitted my ali dial suround about 5 months ago. Time taken: Remove dial cl…
