General Discussions - Non 300ZX

has anyone got/did anyone see the Top Gear where they put a 350Z against a 300ZX? im told the ZX won but i'd like to see it for a laugh. anyone who can post it on here as a clip? cheers. si.

Hi all I took my zed out this afternoon for a blast up a rather empty A41 (sorry, private test track ;) ). On a nice clear straight, not a car in site for miles, I took it up to the limiter :x: . Car felt fine, so I let it run at 145-150 for the next few (rather blurred) miles. Since then it seem to be running even better. I drove home via the country lanes and burnt some more Optimax, it felt smoother and more responsive and the autobox seems to be more in tune with my right foot. It changes more seamlessly now too. :bow: Anyone else noticed this? :D Richard :smw:

Took my car in yesterday to be worked on by 'he who shall not be named' at 'the place we can't mention' and my prop shaft bearing vibrations have gone completely!!! :D Am a very happy bunny and the Z is like a new car now!! Dropped car off, went shopping with my better half in Tamworth (Ventura Park) brought too much, had some food.......went back to 'the place we can't mention' and all was ready for me to drive home. Plus I picked up my 99 spec rears and a new battery!! Top :dance: Matty.

Bought one set of loom covers from http://www.trickcableandswitch.com in the US for $17 :eek: plus duty etc You get 4 different sizes, about 10feet of each size, I chose red obviously. Fitted a load last night but I couldn't stop lol :D:D:D :D:D

All of us have our preferred Z colour, white being mine. However, I have been looking through the Autotrader for a UK manual series 2 but have only come across 1 at silly money with nearly 80k on the clock. Didn't realize white was that rare?

Anyone done the 1/4 mile run and got their (true) times with any car mods. Im looking to do this very shortly and wondering what time I will get. Would 13.3s@102mph be feasible with a UK Manual TT, Apexi induction, 1mm boost jets and a decat exhaust, JWT Chip. Or would I be looking at beating that - providing it dont sit their wheelspinning.

Ever have times when your car feels more amazing than usual? Where no corner is too sharp, and your zed feels on rails, and feels quicker than usual? Since the weathers been getting drier I've been loving every minute of driving the zed, moreso than usual. It feels even pokier, like its breathing a lot better. Dunno why? :confused: I fitted a new FPR last week, and a new injector connector. Could be the effect of the new FPR? Cant see how that would make it grip better lol, maybe thats just extra confidence in the car. Anyone else get this - where you car suddenly kicks ass even more? Well I went to that meet at Ace Cafe last night which was erm...... interesting. Tucked the Z away in the garage when I got home as I always do, put the extra padlocks on from the inside. The weak spot is the back door to the garage, still locked but easier to get into than the front. Got up this morning, thought I would take the Z to work to tinker with lunchtime and FOOK!! Garage door is mangled and no Z. I'm wondering if I was follwed from the meet? Not even called insurance company yet......Can't believe I didn't hear anything. Have a cat 1 immoboliser aswell??? To be honest I don't want it back now, it will have been thrashed to almost death I expect. But w…

I am trying to sell my bed as I have upgraded to a more extravagant model last week.. The bed frame is 100% hand carved and imported from India. The mattress is high quality, but it is the frame that makes the bed. I haven't named a price, but if you are interested I can give you a price. Anyway I have attached a picture. It is of the highest quality as you will see. If you know of anyone who might be interested please forward this on.

finally got the rear spoiler fitted, wasn't sure wether to fit it or not but decided to do it seen as I bought it like it now, not everybody's cup of tea I know but its part of the kit there is a lip at rear which I wasn't sure of so I have just put some edging rubber over it to finish it off. views please

The pistons are in and moving. You can add your own sound effects ;)
