Just been watching the repeat of 5th gear on Discovery H&L, the one where they drove a Volvo and BMW straight at each other at 69mph!!!! If you've never seen it, they had both cars wired-up with remote control, and both cars were travelling towards each other. The impact was unbeleivable, if you every get the chance to see it again, then you must. All I can say is ****ing Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never in all my years of driving ever hit anything. in the past 4 weeks I have had 2 foxes and a rabit, all on the sme road. I wouldnt mind but the little critters are smashing my front bumper to shiit, and as for the underneath of the car, well so far I have found fur and a snout from one of the foxes. hopefully they didnt suffer to long, unlike my bak ballance.

I passed you on the M1 on Friday night, I was in a 406 Diesel Estate not the Zed, saw it was you, waved, no response, slowed down so I was behind you, flashed my lights, no response, drove along side beeping my horn, no response, pressed my horn for 30 seconds while I was beside your drivers window! No response! After that I gave up! Was it something I said?

Had a call today from a new zed owner who had purchased it from trader in Nottingham, it is blue and was previously red and had some receipt with it that showed it once had your private number on ! quite conclusive its your old one mate, poor guy paid his money over and on the way home the auto box gave up and the trader is been less than helpful, sounds very familiar eh? Lucky for you you rejected it when you did! Jeff TT

Hello mate. I was reading another thread and you said that you might have a PTU spare. Would you be interested in lending it to me with a view to buying it? Trouble is I have a missfire at tickover on one cylinder. I've replaced everything apart from this. Cheers mate Ivan

Has anyone else bought one of the above items off ebay? if so just wondered what your opinion is of it as others may be considering buying one and might appreciate the feedback, for mine it took 2 days of grinding with a dremel to get a half decent fit althought its still not perfect which was disapointing, I dont know how this compares to the items available through Z Centre, maybe they are all like this and I was too fussy. Must say though now its all done it does look good and was worth the work, perhaps I would have been happier if I paid more and stopped being a cheapskate.

I've seen the tailgate tub on the Z centre site, i like the idea of less weight and it will look good with no spoiler. has anyone got one? whats the quality like, and do they look good in the flesh or just tacky? do you lose much head room in the back? i suppose it would be easy to keep changing back to the original tailgate if i want. any advice aprieciated :duffer:

Well, we have a new member 'speciald' who just happens to be my lickle bro :D Be nice to him and play fair, I'm giving him my old tyres as 'hand me downs' and if I'm feelin really generous I might just let him use my old oil too :D He's drivin a '90 TT Manual SWB in black (well we can't all be perfect :D) with a few subtle mods (the ones I didn't steal for my own car :D) such as bilstein shocks/springs uprated tubs (stage 1 I think) and others yet to be discovered :) Over to you little duff :D

Should I stick it out and make Chunk feel slim at Billing,or should I go on the Duffer Diet?
