General Discussions - Non 300ZX

I'm having a bit of a 'mare finding somewhere to completly restore and spray my standard wheels in Hampshire, I'm in Basingstoke so anywhere nearby (reading/bracknell etc) would be good. Alternatively if anybody is selling a really good set of standard wheels I'll have 'em!! Cheers

Hello all, I'm totally new to the Z scene, I've just sold my MK3 Supra Turbo so I'm on the hunt for a Z... I know nowt about the mighty Z, but after having a blast in one, the grin factor alone was priceless... :shock: Any advice on buying would be appreciated!.... Cheers... :D

Hello people, as you can probably tell from my username i dont own a 300zx i have a 93' mkiv Supra Twin Turbo and before anyone says anything im not here to cause any trouble, i have always loved the 300zx i think its an awesome piece of kit. i am here because my brother is looking for one at the moment (and cos chopper directed me here :D ) and im looking for some info on what to look for when viewing and test driving them. i have seen you have an absoloutely exellent FAQ section which i will looking through thoroughly before posting up any stupid questions.

i read some years back that a rich lady in the USA...(where else).....was buried in her favourite Ferrari...so i pose the question..would, if allowed, you like to be buried in your zed...?

I've finally sorted my last no fault claim out after waiting 6 months to get £600 of excess and expenses refunded and today my new insurer calls me to say I haven't provided proof of CAT1 alarm and immobiliser! It's been fitted for 5 years now and after changing insurance a few times I no longer have any of the slips that came with the alarm. They want a sheet of letterhead from a garage to say it has one fitted as proof within 14 days. I called my local ICE/alarm centre and they want £20 to do it! FFS Does anybody have a garage who can just write on a sheet of paper that I have a bloody alarm? Chris "Sick of insurance red tape" Carter.

Its way past its best, dont want to spend loads as there's some rust on the tailgate that needs sorting so the whole tail will need a respray. Thinking of going for the smooth option with no spoiler - what parts do I need from the Z centre to fill in all the gaps the spoiler leaves behind? Does this option still meet with general approval for looks after its done or has current thinking changed? :)

Link To Site There is also a Tutorial section, showing how you can use PhotoShop to do similar effects. Very nice if you like that sort of thing, which I like to mess around with when I've got the time.

Hi all I'm a newbie to this board, seems to be a fountain of knowledge here :bow: so I hope some of you can help me. I quite fancy a 300 non turbo auto and have a few questions to ask. 1/ is the autobox better than the manual . dont really need outright performance just reliability. 2/LWB or SWB whats the difference 3/what goes wrong? Where was everyone this weekend? Had a major trip to do on Sunday so my mate could pick up and old Lotus Elite that he accidently bidded for on e-bay! We did a 751 mile round trip up to Birmingham to get a windscreen for this Lotus then on to Cardif to get the car! Didn't see any 300ZX's on the road's at-all! What was everyone doing!! Oh tell a lie, getting back into Cornwall think I saw one comming in the opposite direction at 4AM in the morning!!
