Hi all I'm a newbie to this board, seems to be a fountain of knowledge here  so I hope some of you can help me. I quite fancy a 300 non turbo auto and have a few questions to ask. 1/ is the autobox better than the manual . dont really need outright performance just reliability. 2/LWB or SWB whats the difference 3/what goes wrong? (heaters , windows, brakes, RUST  ) 4/ any other things I should know before starting my search? Cheers all, Bubba13t.

Where was everyone this weekend? Had a major trip to do on Sunday so my mate could pick up and old Lotus Elite that he accidently bidded for on e-bay! We did a 751 mile round trip up to Birmingham to get a windscreen for this Lotus then on to Cardif to get the car! Didn't see any 300ZX's on the road's at-all! What was everyone doing!! Oh tell a lie, getting back into Cornwall think I saw one comming in the opposite direction at 4AM in the morning!!

Preparation for parenthood is not just a matter of reading books and decorating the nursery. Here are 12 simple tests for expectant parents to take to prepare themselves for the real-life experience of being a mother or father. Women: to prepare for maternity, put on a dressing gown and stick a beanbag down the front. Leave it there for 9 months. After 9 months, take out 10% of the beans. Men: to prepare for paternity, go to the local chemist, tip the contents of your wallet on the counter, and tell the pharmacist to help himself. Then go to the supermarket. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office. Go home. Pick up the paper. Read it for …

Oi TopLess - is this you moonlighting? Be A Fireman For The Day Description Cost BFF1 Be a Fireman for the day £140.00 Held on selected Saturdays throughout the year at our fire training facility in Surrey, the idea is for participants to have a hands on go at being a Firefighter for the day - after a detailed health and satefy brief, everyone is kitted out in full firefighting uniform and has their photo taken next to a fire engine (presented to them before they go home, framed) and then its onto fire training, with breathing apparatus training first, and into smoke filled rooms they go in search of lost items (dont worry, its a fluid …

Broke down on Saturday night. I pulled out of a car park and my nephew was begging me to 'do a burnout'. I was happy to oblige and promptly lit up the tyres. Deciding it was better to lift than take an excursion off into the Surrey countryside the car snapped back into line really violently...............and then died !! Everything seemed to work except it wouldn't fire. I thought perhaps there was an inertia switch like you get in the boot of Sierra's but Luke and Martyn both advised that there wasn't. AA eventually arrived and traced the fault to a lead shaken loose on the ECU !! So yesterday was spent softening off the new suspension as the guy from…

Think its a true story, a mate pinched it for a car forum somewhere... "Was pulled over last night by a copper who'd followed me for a couple of miles and breathalised. Bearing in mind I could barely stand it was no surprise to find I was massively over the limit. This was particularly disgraceful as I had the missus and kiddy with me in the car. I was arrested and read my rights. It was all a very salutary experience, especially when the copper got shirty because I found the whole business side-splittingly funny. His mate, whilst the arrest took place went and had a good look round the car, came back and started whispering to the other…

Angelina arrived at 2.32am after 7 hours and 7 minutes of labour and weighed 6lb 16oz(ooops - only just spotted my mistake, it should say 6lb 15oz). However the Mrs did go through 21 hours of pain in total. I have to admit though, I have at many a time made light about women giving birth, with the age old joke about chucking a couple of paracetamols at them and telling them to get back to work and stop moaning, but I have to say, the pain that I saw the wife go through during labour, I would not wish on anyone. Nevertheless, it's all done now and she is a bundle of joy who is proving that babies are purely made for eating, sleeping and pooing. Hope you all…
